No doubt, but if Johnston had played the same way for Motherwell as he did in his last Scotland game, we'd have been thinking about dropping him too. He's not been great at Derby either, from the games I have seen. Hopefully he'll regain his form soon, once he's settled in to his new team.

Ralston has had many bad games for Scotland.

I’m no fan of shankland but he’s scoring goals as is Conway. These two should be in. Strikers are a different breed to other players in different areas of the park. If they are on form they should be in. Anyway…. I’ll try and forget kenny Maclean, ralston and dykes and stick to Motherwell v Celtic

Another predictable Scotland squad. How Kenny McLean or dykes get international caps is a mystery. Burke just scored hat trick in bundis league and has pace, however Dykes still gets place and is a carthorse.

Im exactly the same, it didn’t bother me in the slightest before our players started getting selected 🤣 it’s a nightmare now. and we are forced to watch Steve Clarke play his “lump the ball to Lyndon” tactics. Culminating in a failure to qualify for a World Cup. It’s an altogether crappy pointless week off from the SPL.

It would certainly raise legitimate questions about why he isn’t able to feature for us (in what would be three games in a row if he isn’t involved on Saturday) yet can be picked for his National side. For now though we can assume that he is now back fit and will be in the squad for the game v. Celtic. On a side note I fucking detest international football and these breaks during a season are an absolute nuisance.

At least if called up the games are in Europe so no silly distances travelled. Friendly games as well so if he plays he can be used sparingly as coming back from injury. Might actually benefit us. It's only the likes of Scott Gemmill that ignores Club wishes and fields players no matter what the Clubs say. ( Bowie of Hibs as an example....out for months immediately after returning from injury).

Not sure how it works with international set ups any more. It used to be a FIFA rule that the player called up had to attend the camp and be assessed by the countries medical team to see if they were fit before they could withdraw. I dont know if thats still the case, although Im sure there must still be discussions with the clubs over injuries before a player is even selected. I know that Scotland are a bit more flexible these days and work more on trust and goodwill, so not sure if the rule has changed. Either way, I dont see a scenario where Just isnt available for Sunday and plays midweek. It will be all or nothing. The club would be mad to allow otherwise.

And to actually be paid well in golf you have to win and be better than everyone else. They can’t just sign a 3yr contract , get injured after 1 game and sit on their ar5es for the remainder of the contract getting well paid to play FIFA on the Xbox.

I’m playing golf this afternoon. Mid 80’s with cloud cover. Perfect! If only my score was mid 80’s. you can tell I suck at sports when my golf score is higher than my bowling score 😃 luckily, today is a best ball 4 man scramble followed by a couple of pitchers of Dos Equis.

Or that they're not going to attend a game or not going to renew a season ticket. I'll caveat that by adding unless there's an important point to be made behind their decision i.e. prices have simply put it out of my reach or similar.

I feel that we have a chance to take 3 points from this one. I would have been much more confident if we didn't have the ridiculous injury list, but I am still hopeful for at least 1 point and wouldn't be surprised if we take all 3.
