  1. Past hour
  2. Yeh, thought it might be a bit too early for him, back soon hopefully! Results with and without him this seasons are pretty stark (European games apart). I think JKL looks more suited to a full back role than JGR, but I suppose time will tell!
  3. I don't think priestman is ready yet pal. Swap JKL and JGR round and that team looks fine
  4. For the weekend I’d go with: Paulsen JKL, JGR, Moorman, Longelo Preistman, Fadinger, Lowery Maswanhise, Palmer-Houlden, Said Hodge for Preistman if he’s not fit enough yet.
  5. Today
  6. Just my opinion and certainly wouldn't expect folk to agree but seeing as Jens and our wonderful club were loved by the media, do you think some journos might have an agenda against AJ? we all know recent run not good but funny how john mcglynn not getting hard time despite Falkirk struggling and also buddies were honking at weekend yet no backlash against mcleish. I could be totally wrong and personally AJ needs to address the issues and hopefully get a great victory on Saturday COYW
  7. Agreed. I was surprised to hear AJ raise concerns about the age profile of the squad at the recent Well society Q&A. Given the volume of incomings, I had assumed that the preference of Daws & AJ was to go exclusively for 25 and under.
  8. Yes I do think it’s been a bit one dimensional in that respect at one stage I wondered if we had another Gannon who only signed youngsters
  9. Only got 20 minutes. Game was gone by then, so no real chance to impress.
  10. We signed some decent players over the summer, but maybe a bit unbalanced in some respects e.g. age and lack of leadership. I'm all for signing "projects", but does anyone else think we've overdone that a bit? Typically they might take a year or two to come good. Can AJ get the best out of them?
  11. Came off bench and done ok. I thibk folk forget he's only 20. Needs time but I think could be really good
  12. That aint happening pal and I am sure AJ can get things sorted
  13. I wasn't at game Sunday. How did Kanga play? Lot of hope for him to do well after early promise.
  14. This pretty much sums up much of our discussion and concerns on here over the past few days. A few have said that the type of football we witnessed was not a continuity style and that sums it up for me.
  15. From about 13-25 mins. A good analysis of the current situation and Celtic debacle.
  16. It may well be that Alfred is well aware of where the problems lay on Sunday and is just protecting the player (a little too late imho). If that is the case then I would expect to see something very different on Saturday. If we do, lesson learned, we can move on. If not and we get another insipid, passive performance with no press and no control of the football, then more questions will arise. You cant win every game. But here is a way to lose football matches, and going down swinging, playing your way on the front foot is more palatable than what we saw on Sunday.
  17. Mmmmm. Who did he play on the right side again? 🤔🤔🤔
  18. Graeme McGarry nails Sunday (12mins). Obviously, he doesnt have his coaching badges either, so he might not be seeing the big picture.
  19. After our defeat to Celtic, AJ said “I think we struggled on our right side, in the low block and in the medium block, and in the high pressing, which is something we need to look at.” Translation We were pish all over the park!
  20. Yesterday
  21. Yes, that was a strange choice which has largely flown under the radar. It raised a few eyebrows around us at the time and it didn't work out well. It left Longelo somewhat exposed on the left, but unlike Sparrow he is at least a full back. I hope we're not going to go down the Craig Brown route of shoehorning square pegs into round holes and fielding our "best" 11 players irrespective of what positions they normally play in.
  22. Jens' Death Stare was impressive, I must admit. Even those clueless "journalists" got the message. Ruthlessness is necessary in a manager, as are good man-management and tactical nous. I hope AJ turns out to have both.
  23. I am as much for conjecture as the next guy. That's 95% of what football forums are all about. Tell me this thought, if ( and it is an if) we lose at the weekend to go 5 defeats in a row with a lacklustre performance will you know for a fact that it's not because of disquiet in the dressing room? This has all the hallmarks of a David/ Wellfan Rd 2. I better go put the kettle on just incase it turns into an all nighter! Utter nonsense. How dare thee!!
  24. Correct fans wont know one way or another from a result this weekend if there is disquiet in the dressing room , all it will be is pure and utter guesswork.
