Yes, we don't want to turn Fir Park into another version of Parkhead or Ibrox. Keep politics well out of Fir Park.
-
You are that confident we will get 2 penalties awarded then? As that seems to be the only way he will score. I know it was a tounge in cheek remark, but would love you to be correct and he does score 2 from open play, but ive seen nothing from him so far that suggests that will happen.

League Cup Semi Motherwell v St Mirren 1/11/2025

Not that often. Well not good crosses anyway. Its not really a feature of our play. We tend to work the ball around a lot more looking for openings rather than just chuck it in there for someone to attack. Even when we do get to the by line, more often than not hit the first man or fire it way over the top. Not saying we dont need another striker, or that I wouldnt take Ayunga or someone similar. Just dont think its a given that they would score the goals we need. Id still like to find out though...... -
I have absolutely no time for him, or his political party, but think that leaving the officials to get on with their job is a better policy. They get enough abuse from every angle without adding any personal grief for what they do beyond football.
-
Same here. I went to a WOSL game last week and 2 pies 2 teas and a can of coke was £6. I stopped buying food and drink at Fir Park ages ago.
-
How often do we fling crosses into the box for noone to get on the end of them though? If we had a forward with that instinct in and around the box we'd have near doubled our current goal tally. I agree that maswanhise probably wouldn't fit into their system but he'd create some amount of assists in our team if he had someone to aim at.

Donāt know what prices are like in Scotland but over here, i just donāt buy any drink or food anymore when i go to cinema or sports games. Prices are fkn ridiculous and I refuse to encourage them.
-
And no change out of a tenner ā¦ā¦ā¦.
-
The past few pies Iāve had have been a fkn disgrace. As you say, stuck to the foil and soggy so you canāt even get it out. Handling one of those and drinking a flat pint of tennents at the same time on a cold concourse sounds fun.
-
At nearly Ā£4 for been stuck to the foil, having a pie isn't a good idea either! š¤Ŗš¤Ŗ
-
If people cant go without alcohol for a couple of hours to attend a football match then they have serious issues, having a pint with your pie is not a good idea.
-
But therein lies the problem. Too many people in this part of the world canāt handle alcohol but that never causes them to desist.
-
Pretty much agree with that Grizzly. Its not an issue for me personally as I drive to and from games. I suspect there's more like me. The issue boils down to extra income for the club. If I didn't drive, it wouldn't cause me any great hardship to go without alcohol for 90 minutes. For some though, its a bit like voting and the suffragettes. Its not about having a drink during games its about the right to have a drink during games if they want to do so. Freedom of choice if you want. All that said, I have no problem if folk drink during games as long as those who can't handle alcohol desist.
-
If the club can sell booze, it should. And if you donāt want to buy booze, then donāt. Weāre all adults, so the option should be there. The constant ādonāt do itā approach usually has the opposite effect. Scotlandās alcohol licensing laws are, in general, far more restrictive than elsewhere, and that just encourages folk to fill their boots while they can, rather than pace themselves without fear of the tap being turned off, which in itself leads to more issues. That said, under the current proposals, not all stands have the infrastructure in place to sell booze during the game anyway. For me, I much prefer to meet up and have a few pints before and after the game in an actual pub, but Iād probably still buy a pint at the game if I could.
-
Just my view but I just don't get the point. Folk meet before games for a pint and like me enjoy a few after games. For 90 mins surely folk can cope without a beer. Times have changed and for the 1980 Cup final folk to take a carry oot into ground which caused problems. And for rugby you can have a pint. Always a debate where views will be split but for me it's a no

There seems to be limited info from the club re the alcoholic drinks situation for the game in the DC ā¦..will you have to Q with people purchasing food/ nonalcoholic drinks ?....re products(draught- bottles - wine- spirits)..and most importantly prices Was also wondering whatās the general opinion on this ventureā¦ā¦ā¦..I attend a couple of English games per season and quite enjoy the availability of a pint at half time ( I know that not the case on Saturday) attended Burnley a couple of weeks ago and was Ā£6 for a pint lager Moretti in the away stand

That should put a few more on the attendance figures! ššš
