Any dissenting voices calling for a change of management (including mine) could be proven wrong with a change of fortunes and I'll be the first to admit I was wrong and won't avoid putting my hands up! So that's the gamble here on your comment "I told you so" It only is correct if the situation gets worse and in time we suffer more losses and we should have acted faster to avoid a possible relegation.

Yup and remember Jens started with welsh and slattery on bench that night. Just to say even Jens made mistakes

I’m not against the answer because I’d genuinely like him to succeed just don’t see anything to suggest it will whether we like it or not footballs a business so if ur in relegation trouble ( not saying we are at this stage but thinks it’s a severe possibility we’ll be in the mix ) then action needs to happen u pay ur money to be entertained & that showed in increased attendances last season Killie for me are by a mile the worst team in the league happy to be proven wrong (hope I am) but cannot see us picking up any points from hearts

I don't think we were far from a result yesterday. Individual errors cost us. You are not going to like the answer to this question but I would like to see a rule whereby managers can't be sacked until the end of a full season. I think it would stop much of the short term knee jerk reactions which have become all to common in football and it would also take a great deal of power away from players who think they can chuck it for a few weeks until a new manager comes in an then start playing again. Players have far too much power to influence dressing rooms and I think this would stop if everybody knew that the manager was there for the long haul. In terms of AJ in particularly, I would give him the second round of games at least. I think it will only take one confidence building win to get this team back on track. I think the Aberdeen result has knocked the wind out of our sails and Kilmarnock apart we have played the three form teams in the league in Dundee, Rangers, Celtic in the last 5 games. It will be interesting to see how Hearts respond next weekend to their thumping.

FFS!! I wont sleep tonight now 🤣🤣

We didnt really tighten up until after the League Cup Semi Final v St Mirren and that was in November.
-
Not sure Im in this camp. I am concerned, so not officially backing him. However, in the spirit of the question, I think it all depends on performances. If he can turn that around and scrape a few draws here and there or even the odd win then Id be of a mind to stick rather than twist. Butnif the performances continue to be increasingly poor and we continue to lose games, then I think it becomes increasingly difficult. Ask me again at the next international break.

Alfred Johansson has gone through a major transformation in his time at Motherwell
-
Fancy it? I will put the cones out if you pick the team! 😍😍😍
-
To me we’d need minimum 8 points by end of November
-
Nope &. Nope
-
I am in the backing manager camp. Yes it's not good just now but I am not at stage where we need a change. Look at hibs, aint exactly worked for them. I will look at things come end of November. As I have said on other posts AJ team selections and positions definitely need improved but players also have a responsibility, the cheap goals and basic errors aren't anything AJ can be held accountable for. We shall see how it pans out but I don't think changing manager just now is the right route to go down but everyone has their own opinion
-
Buddies and hibees online probably the same
-
Still yer big team then.
-
Can't be bothered looking back, but we're you as keen as this to get rid of the other managers or are you just getting in early so you can say I told you so.
-
Aye we are a soft touch for loosing cheap goals the now.
-
Genuine question for people backing the manager ( u know who u are ) if the results & the standard continues….. how long before u realistically turn? (for the record I don’t see him turning it but I’m genuinely interested in how long)
-
Hearts forum posts are more or less a mirror to here. Football fans eh? Which club has not had a crisis so far? Maybe we should all call it a day and save our sanity and lower our blood pressure..
-
Poor AJ got no luck at all. Suddenly we will be expected to beat Hearts 🤣🤣
-
Hard to believe it's that close - hadn't realised it was 13 goals after 9 games - amazing how the memory works. I think we went on to concede 4 goals in the following 19 games - now that would be a pattern worth pursing. 100% need to learn to shut up shop - step 1 be clear who you're back 4 should be. Step 2 - rest of team need to keep the ball and themselves moving
-
He was angry as we all were, we scored 2 well worked goals and lost 3 terrible goals, it wasnt even good build up play from killie.
-
Well Hearts got an absolute SPANKING!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
💯
-
Them shipping 7 goals today is promising. It’s the only positive I can think of so far. I’m not feeling any better from yesterday …. Utter disillusionment oozing from my pores
-
I'm not even close to fearing the worst at this point, but we do need to get the defence better organised. We have conceded 16 league goals this season, and 13 league goals at the same point last season. So there is some tightening up required, but as always in football, it's small margins. It was always a tall order to replace the Rolls Royce that is Welsh, but I still think the loss of Slattery is hurting us too as he was often the man to shut down the opposition in midfield before anything developed. We need someone else to step up and take all those yellow cards.
