The one that jumps out to me was when we brought in Marvin Johnson, and a whole bunch of jobbers under baraclough. Marv was definitely an excellent singing. Other than that, slim pickings.

Bought a newspaper on Saturday for the 1st time in years...honestly don't know why. The media are full of pish and wind

Or, if he loses his passport again, no games.

So hopefully (for us) he’ll only miss 3 games. Dundee h rangers a Celtic h

I would anticipate more outs than ins during January. My perception is that youre probably not getting the best players available in January but I can’t back that up with evidence. Maybe someone will be able to better comment on that with some examples of good players (or poor) picked up in the winter window. Perhaps if you have money to splash out you can get a worthwhile player.
-
That would be a decent move for him, and he might be the kind of player that could keep them challenging with St. J.

Halliday to Partick Thistle, I've heard

I doubt if Zimbabwe will qualify for the latter stages of the tournament, as Egypt and South Africa are considerbaly stronger. Angola is also above Zimbabwe in the rankings. So, I'd guess he'll be back by New Year's day.
-
Players have to be released by 15th December. First games start on 21st December. Final is on 18th January. So how long he is gone depends on how well his team does. Zimbabwe's last group game is on the 29th December so if they don't qualify for the next phase he'll be back shortly after that.
-
I might have missed this in previous discussions but how many games will we be missing Maswanhise? I know he’ll be away and out for the Rangers and Celtic games. Gutted to be losing him as these are big games at an important time. Maybe RCC might come in and play his role? It’s a tough ask.

The media think we are entertaining and a force to reckon with this season https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/articles/cz68g6qyqd3o A nice article to read

Have you seen the attendances down at Rugby Park recently? 😁
-
Financially, I'd say yes. Numbers wise probably one more if thats JBA's wish. However, there are a large number of complicating factors. I suspect there will some outgoings and maybe one return (Ewan Wilson, who hasn't set the heather on fire at Kirkcaldy). We might also receive bids for some players and Welsh's position isn't 100% guaranteed. So its a bit unclear at the moment. We also have the prospect of long term absentees like Nicholson, Robinson, Stuparevic, Sule and McGhee to consider. Some of those could be punted out on loan. Potential outgoings? Rumours of Aston Oxborough being unsettled; Kofi Balmer, Andy Halliday, Esapa Osong. Loans for Luca Ross and Dylan Wells (whatever happened to him?) I don't think we need or will do a massive amount of business next month; more of a tidying up/fine tuning exercise.

The last 5 years very much proved this not to be true. Even games we won under Alexander and Kettlewell could be soul destroying and just down right depressing when we lost.
-
Our squad seems pretty large, with our bench now containing multiple players who would consider themselves in the equation to start most matches I'd think. Question is, do we have room for more players to come in during this window without people going out the door 1st?
-
Coincidence that the board changed and society got more involved at that exact time.

Oh his current form, Miller would be on the bench (which sounds like a ridiculous thing to say, I know). I'd like to see a striker, a left back and another central defender in the mould of Welsh. If we lose any players then, of course, that will change. And anybody we bring in has to have played in a similar system because we don't have 2 or 3 months to get them up to speed.
-
Any win against Goodwin is a good win - so hope we can turn them over like we did at Fir Park.
-
Previously I'd say that a point would not be a bad result. Many years ago, I studied in Dundee and never saw us win there. We were at the start of the Tommy McLean era whereas they were flying high and reaching European finals. Given recent form and confidence from our new approach, this is now a fixture we should be looking to collect all three points from. Not a disaster should it not work out that way, but it would be great to keep the "feel good" factor going for as long as possible.

I agree 💯 , I will always follow us no matter what but from about 2020-2024 we were a tough watch often Since Michael Wimmer took the job , then Jens moved things forward we are a much better watch Enjoy every home game now
-
Yes, win lose or draw Motherwell are always entertaining thats why we support them, through the good times and the bad.
-
We dont need another midfielder on the books, Watt, Slattery, Just and Fadinger are doing just fine. At least one ideally two strikers should be top of the wish list
-
I'd hope for a second left back if possible. Koutroumbis did well there yesterday but having someone naturally left footed there automatically widens the pitch...
-
Is Miller good enough for our current midfield ? Rumour on my radar is that he's going on loan to Celtic with a £4M buy option.

People might think i am being daft but......how about getting Lennon back in January on 6 month loan? Usinese get him having first team football plus Lennon has chance to get in world cup squad. Just my view
