  1. Past hour
  2. With regard to the Welsh situation, I think it is probable that a few people are overthinking the whole thing. Celtic are simply doing what they consider is best for them. They are in no way trying to screw us over. They don't care. The same goes for the player and his future. As such, I think it would be wise for us to act in a similar manner and ask ourselves what would be the best course of action in this situation for ourselves? If we can get Welsh back to Fir Park on the same terms as before, for the rest of the season then great. He has been an excellent player for us and there is no reason to think that will change. If they are thinking about making a move for JT and using Welsh as a bargaining chip then they can take a hike. Selling our prized assets to anyone in our league is generally a poor move as it, quite rightly, upsets our own fans and they will be offering less than we can get elsewhere if we really feel the need to sell.
  3. I don't buy the 'deliberately cup tie him' angle. Unless we were planning on buying Welsh, he couldn't have played for us against Celtic anyway. Playing him today shows he wasn't brought back with the intention of flogging him to anyone else in January, and subbing him proves he has no future at Parkhead. That suggests O'Neill brought him back as a fuck you to the board, or a fuck you to Welsh. No idea what he could have against the player, so my money would be on the first - but that still results in the second.
  4. Today
  5. You’ve got to feel for Welsh. That mob are a disgrace. Rotten to the core.
  6. And one of your reasons was that he was hopefully injured. I’d rather he played utterly shite on his debut and got hooked than get injured and subbed.
  7. Dear Martin ........ go and take a flying fuck to yourself.
  8. It was a shite draw . There was a 50per cent chance we could ha.ve got Kelty, Elgin, Stenny or Spartans
  9. Yup, I think dons fans will be more upset than us about draw
  10. When we won the cup in 91 Aberdeen were the cup holders . We went up there and beat them…….the rest is history.
  11. I really don't know what Celtic are playing at with Welsh. Either way, he won't be happy.
  12. Partick Thistle at home in the next round! 😉
  13. Correct, a home tie against a lower league team would have been ideal, but we have nothing to fear from Aberdeen
  14. Be a great tie and a great away day . We’ll surely get an extra allocation of tickets.
  15. Celtic and Rangers both with home ties so we will 100% be one of the tv games. Hopefully Friday night on the BBC. Or maybe the Sat night game. Dont want Sunday afternoon.
  16. Mystic Me - I've predicted Ross County & Aberdeen draws so far - I think that's 465-1. But there's more to the gut feel Ross County - Expected to see Kettlewell back Aberdeen - expected us to get the hardest non-OF team left. Hopefully I can get another shot next round.
  17. Every time I've seen us win the cup we beat Aberdeen away.
  18. Its a shite draw but its a winnable draw with nothing to fear.
  19. Jeezo people, we play like we can play and there is no fear. They are more worried about it than we are
  20. Remember folks...we were away to Dons in league cup this season......and won
  21. Tough draw again. Meanwhile Rangers maintain their extraordinary good fortune of drawing home ties against lower league opposition.
  22. Could have been better.....just like gers with pish easy draw. However nothing to fear
