Plenty of people enjoy it, and I have no problem with that. I've always preferred a keeping the ball on the deck style, and players with a pass in them, but it would be a boring game if every team played the same way or fans all had the same tastes.
-
Robbos team were industrial, aggressive, up-and-at-them...it wasn't sexy but I enjoyed watching it for completely different reasons that I enjoyed watching JBAs team
-
Does any team ever have a fully fit squad. With the schedules and the high intensity of the game these days there are always injuries. Even with "load balancing".
-
Luckily we have a new manager a few quid in the bank and 10 weeks to bring in some new players.
-
Hendry confirmed out injured again. He’s turned out to be an absolute waste of a signing. With McGinn out too, and Welsh and Gordon gone, we’re very short at centre-back. And let’s not even get started on Stama. He’s another busted flush.
-
When was the last time we had a fully fit squad? McGinn out for months at his age cant be good. Could be the end of his career. Hendry injured again for months. Robinson mk2. Total waste of money. Guess we are stuck with him. So we now need a new center of defence. Guys with pace, can pass a ball and do the defensive side of game would be nice. Need them into pronto with europe game in comming soon. New recruits urgently needed.

Not good about McGinn out for months we shall need to strengthen the back line more than I thought we would.
-
That's gordon away, good luck too him but no great loss at the same time.
-
Would be funny if he ended up at Toulouse.
-
Liam Gordon's off, apparently.

This thread is becoming about you again lad. Not totally your fault...this time. I think McInnes is OK mgr but like you say , let's move on , it's about AJ now.

You can enjoy beating Rangers in a semi final without enjoying the style of football. Give me a JBA Celtic domination any day of the week. Much like I was glad Scotland beat Haiti, but found most of the football on display to be pretty turgid. And if I never hear the tired old "have to earn the right to play football" again, I will be a happy man. A lazy justification that football playing sides laid to rest years ago.
-
With Robbo at Aberdeen, a spiteful old prick at Celtic, the aforementioned ‘Del’ at Rangers, the Invisible Man at Hearts, and Mr Vanilla at Hibs, we really shouldn’t have much to fear from that lot next season.
-
If you take results out of it, I think Robinson sides have a high ceiling and low floor in terms of entertainment. Nobody will be able to tell me that seeing us run over the top of teams wasn't absolutely class, but when it went wrong it produced some of the most mindnumbing football I've ever watched.

Kieran Ngwenya has rejected a contract offer and left Dunfermline - if we were actually interested in signing him.
-
The way I look at that point is he's got to where he has despite not having the fame or influence of playing at a high level plus the doubters that come with that. Not many do that, so he surely has something about him. Welcome to Fir Park 🙌
-
I suspect that with Welsh and JBA gone, Gordon could well stay this season if Johansson rates him and can promise him regular starting football. Otherwise, we’ll probably be signing a big, bald but silky Scandinavian brute of a CB to fill the JBA-shaped hole in our hearts.
-
That will be the bread and butter pudding then 😉

100% Also, from the "guys that know the game", Tommy Wright came in to save Kilmarnock and they were relegated, Stuart Kettlewell can in to save Ross County and they were relegated, Mark McGhee came in to save Dundee and they were relegated,, Terry Butcher came in to save Hibs and they were relegated etc. etc. I'm delighted we have moved away from that and taking a different kind of risk.

Jens was at Copenhagen from Jan-Jun 2025. Johansson left Copenhagen in 2023.

In the eating. The proof of the pudding is in the eating.

It’ll be interesting seeing how our new manager does with regards the conference game, he mentioned that straight away and you do find foreign coaches are desperate to do well and try themselves out in this arena. both Rangers and Celtic as you mentioned aren’t evolving. They are fixated on beating one another and if any team in the league has the audacity to challenge them in any way, they try and get their players/manager on the cheap and attempt to unsettle them…. Helped by the media. i have no doubt “Del” will breenge his way through the league and win games as will “papa Martin” but I know both will fail miserably in Europe with their Jurassic style approach.

I'll reiterate what I said in relation to McInnes. If it means watching Goodwin or Robinson's brand of football, I'll do without European football or a trophy (I say that as someone who enjoyed Robinson's team when he was here, maybe I've changed). I want to actually enjoy watching Motherwell. Anything else is a bonus..
