  1. Past hour
  2. I would imagine the club will be not just looking at the playing benefit of keeping him, but the swell in seats being filled every game and the difference that makes to the coffers. I would be shocked if we didn't offer him a bumper contract and wouldn't shock me if it was the highest we've paid for a manager.
  3. Grizzlyg Bacharach I was hoping for 🤣
  4. Sad news . MFC through and through RIP John
  5. The majority of those journos cant speak English very well.
  6. He's out of contract because he had a relegation release clause.
  7. Not specific to Lukas, but I'm always impressed when any player speaking a second language can handle a press conference with the Scottish journos.
  8. Our lads need to be on top form for this one. If we can play our regular possession game then perhaps we can come away with a win but the way Hibs are going at the moment a draw would be a good result, a win would be an excellent result. Hope the good Maswanhise turns up.
  9. RIP Mr Chapman. MFC forever.
  10. Is he available in this window or are we talking about next season?
  11. Today
  12. Aye Andrew Lloyd Grizzlyg right enough .
  13. I’d take a 0–0 or low-scoring draw to keep the momentum going. A win isn’t beyond us though and would be a great marker for the season ahead in terms of league placing.
  14. I agree his will be very tough. However I'm reassured by the fact absolutely no team has dominated us this season in the league home or away. Our record of late at Easter Road is none too shabby. If Watt doesn't make it, as expected, this could be pivotal. Had he been available I'd go into this game with a degree of confidence without being cocky.
  15. If he signs and scores 2 goals early on in debut...( to tune of Fortunate Son by Creedence Clearwater Revival) GIVE US THREE GIVE US THREE OHHH BJORGOLFSSON
  16. What a challenge! Let me have a think
  17. We already use that for....STEPHEN O'DONNNNNEEEELLLLLL

    John Chapman

One of the most important people in the history of MFC. RIP Mr Chapman.
  19. RIP John. As Chairman you gave me one of the greatest days of my MFC supporting life.
  20. Sad news. John Chapman has passed away at the age of 93. He oversaw our club during difficult times and had the honour of being charge when we won the cup in 19991. I met him on many occasions and in various settings and always found him to be amiable, pleasant and willing to talk about MFC, the club he loved. I knew he hadn't been in the best of health for some years. Thoughts are with his family at this difficult time. RIP John.
  21. I sort of think this could be the toughest game of the season tomorrow. Hibs aren’t a bad side and they are performing quite well at the moment. There’s no way we’ll do what we did to them at first park and with a full house it’ll be a tough gig especially without Watt. id be happy getting a draw tomorrow as I think that’d be a great result. if however, we come away with a win….. I think this could persuade me we do have a chance of winning this league…. No harm in me dreaming
  22. We'd best clear that with Aberdeen fans first out of courtesy. One of my lasting memories of our legendary win at Pittodrie in May 14 was Dons fans playing this number for 89 minutes solid on brass intruments. No drums for them.
  23. (To “Seven Nation Army”) Ohhh Björgolfsson! Ohhh Björgolfsson! Ohhh Björgolfsson!
  24. @grizzlyg Lets see you make up a song for this guy if he signs. Not going to be easy to rhyme or scan that one...
  25. Daily Record are reporting about this guy. It’s been added this morning so I have no doubt they’ve taken this from your post. i hate these papers. They aren’t even journalists any more, they just scan fans forums and take stuff from here.
  26. According to swedish media we are in for Eythor Björgolfsson. He scored 15 times in 29 games for Umeå in the swedish second division (which is pretty good considering that Umeå finished in last place with only 30 goals scored). https://www.expressen.se/sport/fotboll/allsvenskan/bjorgolfsson-har-utlandska-erbjudanden-/ Google translate: Björgolfsson has foreign offers Published 8 Jan 2026 at 11.29 Updated at 11.54 Eythor Björgolfsson is free to look for a new club after the end of his spell in Umeå. According to information to Expressen, the striker has an offer from Motherwell in Scotland and interest from clubs in both Poland and Sweden. It was after last season that Umeå's top scorer Eythor Björgolfsson chose to activate a clause in his contract and leave the club, when Umeå was relegated from the Super League. During the winter, Björgolfsson has had concrete interest from several clubs. According to information to Expressen, he has chosen to turn down Västerås and Degerfors. At the same time, Motherwell from Scotland wants to sign Björgolfsson and there are clubs in both the Polish Ekstraklasa and in Sweden that want to contract the striker for next season. Björgolfsson expects to make a final decision within the next few weeks.
