I'd prefer a permanent move over a loan - not a fan of loans from clubs in the same division. I have no idea how good he is, but JBA is looking for a player that can fit into his system better than our current central defenders. You can argue whether that makes them a better player, or just a better fit.

Dont know much about him but plus point Welsh is 6ft 3 needing a wee bit of height at the back but i must admit still dont think its enough cover at the back. Hopefully we get a couple in and its been a good transfer window for us.

I take your point but if someone was to ask me about Nicholson or various others we've had at Fir Park my first instinctive answer would be 'injury prone'. Sometimes it's just that your instinctive answer is right. As in Louis Moult or Rolando Aarons. Sometimes not. As is pointed out in the case of Chris Porter as weeyin pointed out... An upgrade would be a stretch methinks even on Balmer. I’m against loaning from another in the same league generally, we’d lose the player for 3 possibly 4 games as it stands.

This ain't the same Dundee as last season. They have lost alot of good players and are poorer. Like every game it won't be easy, but Dundee being at home, might mean they are more open. Cut out the stupid mistakes and we can win.

You think our fans would have learned by now not to judge any signing based on performances for previous clubs. We've seen often enough previous form accounts for fuck all with our signings. If he signs it's a signing we need and I welcome him and reserve judgement until I've seen him a few times. Christ Davie Cooper was playing for Rangers reserves when we signed him.

That's because the POD has been my viewpoint of choice for the last 40 years, but if the other 3 stands are just as bad then the club has a seriously issue with whoever does its cleaning.

It reports 42 for Celtic between 2019 and now 19/20 played 15 for Morton And 17 for Mechelen last season. He signed a 4 year contract in 2023. He seems the type of player that is happy to sit and take a wage or is seriously injury prone which is why we are attracted to him. His injury history.. Contracted with Celtic until 2027 and reportedly on £8k a week. Doubt we would match that and the player would be crazy to give up a years salary at that level to join us permanently at the end of this season. I'm guessing Celtic hoping he does well with us this season so that they can sell him elsewhere for decent money at season end.
