Yeah hadn't included Ross or Wells in that number but if you do it's 20 + the 3 I think will get offered deals that's 23. Not leaving much room to bring in players initially. Can actually see Luca Ross getting used as a Wing Back in this formation and Wells might get minutes in the 2 positions behind the striker in the current formation. As I've said earlier on this I'd be trying to shift Koutrombis, SOD, Nicholson, Stuperavic and obviously we'll sell Miller for a decent fee. We need to add pace and power to our squad in all areas to play at the intensity the manager wants. This summer we probably need to look at adding 7/8 Players for me: 2 CBs, a LWB, 2 CMs , 2 Forwards

"Former Scotland midfielder Shaun Maloney is strong favourite to take over as Dundee manager, but Neil Lennon, Stuart Kettlewell and former Dundee players Temuri Ketsbaia, Mark Fotheringham, Darren O'Dea and Charlie Adam could also be considered." From the BBC this morning.

Or Kettlewell ends up at Dundee!. Probably not
-
Unless the pre-contract contains a "change of manager" provision, presumably.
-
Go on, be a devil. Change of manager counts for nothing.
-
I forgot about Nicholson. If we can keep I’m injury free for a decent amount of time, he’s a good player to have.
-
I see a few "by mutual consent" in the futures of some of those names.
-
Jeez, how did I forget JT, love the guy.
-
Maswanhise and McGhee (assuming the deal still goes through even with the change of manager)...
-
This is where my 18 comes from, who am I missing? Gk: Ox, Ward, connelly? Def: SOD, mcginn, Johnny k, Wilson, Gordon, Balmer Mid: Miller, Slattery, Sparrow, Halliday, Ross, Wells, nicholson Attack: Stam, Robinson, Stuparevic
-
I wouldn’t put it past us to bring out a jersey with that written on the inside of the collar.
-
Very true. If fit, and we can't move them on then perhaps loan deals may be the answer.
-
St Johnstone figures also boosted greatly by visiting fans from Aberdeen and certainly Dundee. Not home supporters. We'll see what their figures are like next season.
-
By my maths, it's 20 without those three but I'm including Dylan Wells and Luca Ross in that. To have a squad of 20 and still feel short in so many positions (full back, midfield, up front) is a concern. Too many defenders that probably won't be first picks (Balmer, Koutroumbis, one of O'Donnell or McGinn), and too many players in other areas that we almost don't count as options because they have contributed so little for various reasons (Nicholson, Stuperavic are the obvious ones). Basically my thoughts are that while 20 isn't a huge squad, it feels unbalanced and it still to me feels that there are too many players who may not contribute a lot over the season...
-
I'd be keeping Seddon. Has looked pretty decent in his -albeit limited- games for us.
-
StJ and Killie figures are lifted because for 3 games a season they give their stadium over to the OF hoards which we decided - correctly in my view- to stop doing.
-
I think he's a good player but he's too injury prone for us to sign permanently
-
Jack Vale has been released by Blackburn.
-
I suspect Seddon, Paton and Casey have been offered deals of the ones OOC. My issue is if those 3 sign on that's 21 under contract if you include Mcghee. Currently leaving Andrews, Kaleta, Armstrong , Balcombe, Taveres, Watt, Plange, Dickson, Mair, Vale - Returning to parent clubs. Only 1 I'd want back is Andrews. Callahan, Seddon, Casey, Davor, Ebieye, Thompson, Paton, Blaney Of OOC I'd only keep Seddon.

I think we can also add Matty Connelly to the up in the air list. I count 19 definitely under contract but that includes Lennon Miller, but doesn't include Jordan McGhee. It depends too on whether we include Wells and Ross as being in the senior squad.
-
Think most people will have an idea of who is staying or going. Not that hard to work out given the number of players out of contract
-
Well if you make four appearances and you are shite no wonder you are moved on -anyway I understand your point but I don't think many players this season will fall into the category of you are shite and you need to go aka Gordon Im obviously just not up to speed with all things Motherwell
-
Agreed, Wimmer was asked if the Ross County game was a last chance to impress for some players and the answer was a firm no as he had already made his decisions.
-
Yep, so SK moved them on. SK said quite a lot about Danzaki at the time and not much of it was good. Ultimately, a club was found for him and a deal made so that Motherwell wouldn't have to pay off the remainder of his contract.
