Guidance and training, your having a laugh .
- Today
-
This is maybe where our squad size is biting us. Midfield will no doubt be Priestman and Fadinger. Looked fatigued in the later parts of the hibs game. Meanwhile Helsinki have already played 18 games. Last five lost three won 2 and sit 4thin their league. Appreciate it’s a nice problem to have but hope the sports science guys are getting them ready for Thursday. looks like they use a 4 2 3 1 or 4 3 3. Though the game they lost there was a 4 4 2. Three in midfield then and use the extra energy of whyte. Said cook and longelo as a front three. Same 4 at the back.

What's worse is that even though some of their decisions had major implications for who ended up winning what (and some of them were just petty/moronic/laughable/whatever), I'm sure the majority of fans would be quite happy for the SFA to wipe the slate clean and tell us what guidance and training for officials they've implemented over the summer to improve the standard and consistency of refereeing this year. But we all know how likely that is to happen.
-
In case anyone doesn't know the game is on solidsport for £12. Details on club website
-
Just shows what a ridiculous situation the SFA have got themselves into with those decisions last season......
-
I was suggesting that if the SFA consider Liam Gordons tackle on the half way line to be a DOGSO, then the chance of Hearts having Findlays red card overturned are slim to nil.
-
I watch it but anything after say 2010 I have nae chance. Mrs grizzly would agree about the 2nd part 🤣🤣
-
If you are referring to the shambolic refereeing at pittodrie in the league cup game, are you seriously suggesting that Gordons foul inside the centre circle, with two covering Motherwell players and the keeper with the Aberdeen player still with 40 or 50 yards to run to goal was a Dogso, aye ok then.
-
Its not a red card in the box if there is a genuine attempt to play the ball. Double jeopordy. For me Mulligan should have been yellow carded but wasnt. Yellow is probably correct for Oscar. Findlay? The contact inside the box is probably a yellow as he does try to get the ball, but there is the arm pull, which could tip it towards a red if considered enough to stop Olusanya. Also, Liam Gordon!
-
To be fair Hearts have a valid point, but you could argue the same when priestman was fouled for our penalty, all 3 were probably Dogso's and therefore should have been red cards. The SFA will take no notice and just carry on as usual, "yes we know we made a James Hunt of it, but we can do what we like so nothing to see here". Game 1 of the season and the bad referreeing deisions are ramping up, thats football in Scotland.

You should be on that music knowledge programme that's on TV on a Saturday called The Hit List or maybe you should be on A Hit List.😂
-
Sshh ,Dont give them any ideas.
-
I see that Hearts have used Oscar Priestman's yellow card as justification for appealing Stuart Findlay's red card. Going by their past record, I could just imagine the SFA retaining Findlay's red one and upgrading Priestman's yellow.

CM may need 2 players to come in and help with cover. For forwards be great for JT to stay and hit some form. Appears that interest has reduced but if he starts banging in goals in Europe and the league that could quickly change. We could potentially replace all the front line, not convinced any of them will cut it or be fit. In addition to someone who can bang in goals we need someone who can help hold the ball.
-
By my calculation McLeish was too
-
I hadn't really thought about it, but they mentioned on the commentary at the weekend that Alfred isn't our youngest ever manager. Billy Davies had just turned 34 when took over as player/coach at Fir Park.

Neil Diamond sang it 'It is Said'

Id be happy with 1 CM & a striker. Although some cover for RCC would be nice. All depends on any outgoings though. If JT leaves then we need to replace him as I dont think Luca Ross is gonna cut it unfortunately.
-
We'll beat Falkirk. Their hex over us can't continue this season.
-
How many more signings do we think we'll realistically make? For me 3 unless their is more sales. CM , Winger, ST Our Squad Currently is GK - Paulsen, Connelly RB - Sparrow, JK, SOD (Inj) CB - Moormann, Girdwood-Reich, Knight-Lebel, McGhee (Inj), McGinn (Inj) LB - Williams, Longelo, Wilson CM - Fadinger, Preistman, Whyte, Booth AM - Said, Lowry LW - RCC, RW - Vogt, Ross ST - Maswanhise, Bjorgolfsson, Stamatelopolous (Inj), Henfry (Inj)

Based on tonight’s game it looks like Celtic are most likely to be our closest challenger’s.
-
They must be worried about us.
-
This is a recent trend, and it's pretty laughable. I've lost count of the times the corner taker and the linesman have a discussion about exactly where the ball is placed and then... ... kick doesn't make it past the first man.
-
Is it the same with regards to the penalty spot. Always thought the ball had to be on the spot.
