As per @star sail words O'Donnell is a very experienced former International player getting paid a very reasonable wage to be a professional football player. To bring him on for the last 10 in his natural position to provide stability, freshness, respite to tired players is perfectly reasonable and legitimate. You cannot preempt the mistake that follows.
