  1. Past hour
  2. At the time when the jester kit came out I was originally disappointed, reason I say that is the 1994-1996 home kit was my favourite ever and I wanted it to continue I do look back years later though and I think it is a cracking looking shirt , I had the original . Now I have the retro
  3. You're right but I wasn't talking about Callum. Was talking about Gordon. Nothing to do with Slattery. Also not sure who Kettlewell moved on - am sure he moved players out on loan. I honestly don't care that much right now tbh -it's up to Wimmer. I'll be very surprised if we move Gordon on
  4. Today
  5. Surprised they didn't know already. Thompson, Paton, Blaney, and Seddon are the only ones that would be up in the air from the main squad I'd think. If blaney is still injured he might get a Tanner type deal. Davor and Moses must have had a good idea, and Callachan as well. Casey would be more in the "he'd be telling us" camp. There will be the young players as well, with Luca Ross being the only one that's been extended that I know of. I count 18 definitely staying, but that includes Luca Ross, dylan wells, and Lennon Miller. It doesn't include Seddon, who has an option. There doesn't look be much room for mutualing anyone who isn't long term injured.
  6. But what did you think of the kit?
  7. Wether players are under contract or not they can still be sold or contracts paid off to leave the club, this is not a new phenomenon as kettlewell proved by moving on a number of players in his time as manager , only to replace them with worse options. So if the right offer comes in wee Calum will be gone .

    New kit for 2025/26

https://x.com/agentscotland/status/1924136803704992193?s=61&t=PGc8UcmdT5aDdco-qWkrFw If these figures are correct and attendance drives income then we have once again ‘punched above our weight’.
  9. As much as people think we had a shit season, I keep saying judge the season in May, not before, we achieved an 8th place finish 17 points clear of the relegation spot, 12 clear of the playoff and secured a 41st consecutive season in the top league, so for me that's a decent season. Room for improvement yes there is but all told given the constraints we had re injuries etc we had a decent season.
  10. Heard from a reasonably good scource that he was telling the players today who he wants to keep and those not being offered new terms.
  11. If Tony Watt has been told he won't be here next season, you'd have to imagine that the others whose services are no longer required will have been informed too.
  12. From his comments, I suspect MW has already made his mind up on departures. However, there may still be some outstanding negotiations to wrap up.
  13. So did I and I dislike it even more now.
  14. With the Cup Final not until next week, I'd have expected the contracts to run past that point. So they may still be deciding who they are keeping.. But I hope not!!
  15. When we expecting the GTF list?
  16. Gordon is still under contract. So he's not not going anywhere - and I would keep Casey but Casey is probably off and it's down to Wimmer anyway as to who stays I absolutely get our shortcomings - not trying to make light of them. Doesn't really matter what I think - up to Wimmer
  17. The jester kit would have been ideal for the season just finished as we had some amount of jokers in that squad.
  18. That could be said of every single one of our central defenders. On a regular basis. And at least two are poorer than Casey. Can anyone name me one it does not apply to this season? A couple might be marginally better than Mugabi and Lamie but that's not a high bar. I would happily see us move all four on and start again. But I know that's not going to happen as other areas will need addressing and existing contracts and budget will dictate.
  19. Hopefully. Hearts will be ultra horrible to watch next season once he gets them even more skilled in the dark arts. Devlin will be in his element. I suspect the new rule to prevent goalies time wasting will not apply to them. Pretty telling that Killie appear to have been pretty easy to deal with. There fans were more upset about the timing and disrespect shown to their Club than him actually leaving I gather.

    New kit for 2025/26

The ridiculous cheap looking panel on the front absolutely ruins this seasons kit imo. I’m convinced that at some point in the future we will bring out another jester style kit unfortunately, but the fact that we have only recently brought the 90s Pony one back out as a retro top makes me think it won’t be this year. That would be decent I reckon, even without the hoop/band.
  21. I do get your point. - Gordon has another year on his contract - I would still keep Casey
  22. 63 goals against and -17 goal difference like? If we had conceded 10 or 12 less, we'd have been playing in Europe next season. I just don't see that happening with any combination we have on our books.
  23. I haven't seen many Macron 2025-26 examples yet, but how about this in amber, with the middle panel as the claret "hoop"?
  24. I like Gordon and Casey and Id keep them both
  25. Even beside Gordon, Casey has struggled. As I have said before, I can see the attributes Casey brings to the team. He is full of energy and great at disrupting things further up the field, and can be a wrecking machine in the oppositon box at set pieces. Defensively, he is often out of position, loses his man regularly, and puts us back under pressure with his poor passing - either passing to the opposition, or making the wrong choice of team mate. It's not like we haven't given our central defenders an opportunity to prove themselves over the past few seasons. They have just continuously failed to deliver. I'm sure it gets inside their head too, and they all might benefit from a fresh start at a new club as much as we'd benefit from a new central unit. I honestly can't think of any combination I see line up on a Saturday and think "that looks solid"
  26. "this season the results of the team have not met the standards expected by the club." backs that up. I see Hearts have given McInnes a 4 year deal. That will be an expensive pay-off for them next summer.
