  1. Past hour
  2. Yeah, it would be terrible if there were a Celtic-obsessed moonhowling element in our support, wouldn't it?
  3. I think this hits the nail on the head. Last season we controlled games. So we always had safe possession, which in turn didnt leave us as open at the back as we have been this season. So we faced less shots and therefore conceded less goals. The trade off for that, was that we always looked like we were trying to score the perfect goal, and for all our nice play and control, we didnt create as many chances as you would imagine. But we weren't open on the transition. This season, we get the ball forward quicker, we throw more balls in the box and generally create more chances. But the trade off is there for all to see when we lose the ball. Its a conundrum, and Im not sure which I prefer. But Alfred clearly favours what we are currently doing, so I guess we just need to get used to it.

  5. I dont see this board calling time early on Alfred. As a club we tend not to do that. Now that the Well Society are wielding more influence in the board room, I think its even less likely. The fans wanted an identity. We got one and the board have tried to be consistent with that and backed a "philosophy". They wont want to row back on that without giving him every chance. We want to be known as a club who give managers time to turn things around. When you cant pay the most money, job security can overcome that barrier. Re fans not liking AJ, I dont think thats the case either. Some fans just have less patience for poor performances than others and worry about our Premiership status.
  6. Is that his name? I thought it was Bob Gama-Boulder 🤪🤪
  7. Well all the loyal fans that stand by the club through thick and thin will be there. Even those not happy just now will be there as we all love the club. SIWY
  8. Just looked on the ticket site, a LOT of empty seats tomorrow. Thats worrying, hopefully fans will be active tonight and pre match tomorrow. First decent weather we’ve had on a Saturday in ages as well.
  9. A good rousing STAND UP AND SING FOR MOTHERWELL at the start would get the place buzzing and hopefully transfer onto the pitch. Negative vibes doesn't help and just makes players more nervous. A couple of early mazy Said runs gets fans off their seats also
  10. I agree with this - I liked the style of the first few game - probably up to and including Dundee Utd Main concern is that this was a style the team had without any coaching. it may be coincidence that the longer he's had the further we've moved away from it - albeit the last couple of games have some signs of hope offensively.
  11. I hope you’re wrong 😀 nothing wrong with moving the ball forward quickly but it’s one thing playing balls that are 90% likely for us too get versus 50/50 at best. Interesting stat on the more shots on goal but I’d be interested to see stats on number of saves for our keeper. Ward had many games where he had zero saves or just one save. My impression this season is that Paulson has made a lot of saves although V St Johnstone I think he only had one save. Time will tell what style he favors. I’m hoping it’s the hybrid JBA/AJ style.
  12. My views well known on this forum and I still feel AJ needs time. At start of season all talk was it would be a transitional period judging on the manager and players we lost. I dont see a team not trying, its bad individual errors that are costing us . Kettlewell had a 16 game winless run and board stood by him until he engineered his departure. I think AJ is likeable guy and I am desperate for him to turn things round. Look at both Dundee teams, they are having a good season but both pressley and Goodwin were under pressure last season. If folk dont like AJ and want him sacked of course that is their opinion and totally respect that but I think some of the comments aimed at him are very personal and unnecessary. Ohhhh please give us 3pts tomorrow COYW
  13. You might be right re Alfred, its more the smart arse " tick tock" ( which has been done to death) i was referring to Do you do that at work when there are redundancies threatened? You dont rate him, I dont know yet, give it a few more games.
  14. Out of our front line it’s really only Said and JT that have shown they can add value and get some goals said more from coming deep but he played cf against Celtic and scored that header Seb so far hasn’t shown much - albeit works his socks off . His play and positioning hasn’t been brilliant Thor - although never had a run hasn’t impressed me ever - I don’t think he cuts the mustard Hendry - permacrock - i think he’s better than Seb if can stay fit bottom line - hendry back as sub will offer more than thor or Vogt
  15. I don’t recall seb palmer holden ever looking “unplayable “ Maybe I missed that
  16. Thor had his chances to shine v Hertz and blew it. Still think he looks useful though.
  17. He can certainly play the SPH role and give him some respite when he us running on fumes. Where that leaves Eythor is anyones guess.
  18. Great news about those 3 back in training. For some reason (even though last year I thought he was dugmeat) I have a feeling Hendry might come good in this set up. i may be reaching
  19. The difference is I would be more than happy to have Neil Lennon as our manager. We would be ten times more competitive as a team if nothing else.
  20. Tiresome. Thats like someone suggesting Neil Lennon to get it right up you. Edit: thats actually unfair on Neil Lennon as he actually has a decent track record as a football manager. I should probably have said Scott Brown.
  21. Hoping to see a few tweaks to the starting line up. Alfreds hands have been tied to an extent with injuries and fitness levels. But we must be getting to the stage where Kanga can start and be subbed around 60 minutes if he doesnt have 90 in him. With Fadinger back, Id also like to see Jordan McGhee keep his place either at RCB or RB. He is clearly a good player and his experience will hopefully help settle the backline. Im not as down on Sparrow as some, albeit I do accept his defensive deficiencies, but taking him out of the firing line and using his energy as an impact sub could be useful imho. I dont think its a must win in terms of our season. But for Alfred it kinda is purely due to the pressure building and the proximity of the international break. My lineup would be...... Paulsen McGhee JKL Moorman Longelo Fadinger Hodge Said Maswanhise SPH Kanga Hopefully Oscar, McGinn and Hendry can make the bench for some minutes later on once the game is won!
  22. Kind of, but he would definitely be an upgrade on the present incumbent. And it would be worth it just to get it right up the Rangers obsessed moonhowling element in our support.
