  1. Today
  2. League 1 aside Sheffield Wed are one of the biggest clubs in England. Probably twice the size/support of the majority of premiership clubs. It’s a decent move for him.
  3. To be fair, they're a big club and Will probably expect to get promoted this season. Not denying money is a factor but not like he's going to a smaller club like Mansfield or Leyton Orient in league one where he'd still get more money....
  4. Slattery wont be bothered what league they are in, its the no doubt vast increase in his wages thats the main attraction.
  5. Would be nice for a signing. Times moving on.
  6. Looks like Callum Slattery will be joining Sheffield Wednesday
  7. Yesterday
  8. Eli gets bigged up in The Guardian's "Five Breakout World Cup Stars". Must be worth a few extra quid. Eli Just (New Zealand, 26) His World Cup performances have captured a wider audience than he had last season in Scotland, where he delighted supporters of an improving Motherwell side with consistently high-quality displays. An intelligent middle-to-front forward, Just is a late developer. He previously played in Denmark and Austria after leaving New Zealand and is now showing a belief in his ability. Bigger defenders have been caught off balance by a quick body swerve as he moves with intent from the middle third into dangerous areas and at this tournament he has benefited from complementing the strength and hold-up play of Chris Wood. Just’s advantage over similar attacking midfielders is how quick he is to assess situations – he sees pictures. Twice against Iran he saw the space in which to receive from his target man and score with perfectly placed right-foot shots. He can score with his left too but needs to score more. Just is consistently a highly skilled performer at club level and shows a commendable humbleness and intelligence. If he continues his improvement he will be on a bigger club’s radar.
  9. That's not to say that there wouldn't be other interest but bear in mind, Watt only managed 8 games for a St Johnstone team that went down with a whimper. It might be that some teams would want to see if he can repeat last season before spending money on him...
  10. That would be great news. Would really like to hold onto Watt
  11. There was a lot of talk of Watt to Rangers but it's been suggested to me that might be less likely now with McInnes there and Devlin out of contract and available for hee haw...
  12. I'll be over for a beer then Allan. 🤣
  13. I have a spot in the garden earmarked already for the old seats Dave, Alison has still to sign off on them but they will be in place.😂
  14. Good to see you buying and recycling the POD seats that are being ripped out. Postage costs could be hefty though.
  15. If there's some place in particular you'd like to visit, much safer just booking it for your next holiday.
  16. Seeing as safe-standing is off the table for now, I have put an order in for one of these:
  17. Sligo was pretty easy to get to and not bank breaking. Getting to the Faroes is a nightmare. I’m holding firm for next round lol 😂
  18. TBH I thought Maswanhise was almost a done deal just - he was already high risk and now World Cup - be stunned watt - less obvious bit of the money is right then hard to refuse Be happy if all 3 stayed but with all the speculation and if at the right price I could see it happening
  19. Why are people assuming well sell Watt, Just and Maswanhise all in the same window ?
  20. I want mine with arm rests and thicker padding
  21. At the core even if the better players do move on there’s plenty to build on. RCC will be an interesting one as I’m not sure what his best position is . Felts he was shoe horned in to various roles but if fit he can add lots of value . We do need some quality signings to start coming through the door - particularly defenders
  22. I received an email today to say that seats are being replaced in the POD. New ones will have higher backs to comply with UEFA regulations.
  23. The club is installing new seats in the POD. Just received an email, obviously helps cater for UEFAs ruling on minimum heights the backs should have etc.
  24. A few of my mates said that about Sligo " we will waIt for the next round" football aside they missed a great trip. However we are a very different team and playing in a style light years away from what Alexander served up so i think we will do well and progress to Q3
