  1. Past hour
  2. Well!!!! Lets hope we prevent Aberdeen from firing high balls into our box. No corners either please. Presumably, we're prioritising Saturday. Briiliant or foolish? We'll soon find out.
  3. We've been here before this season, scratching our heads thinking WTF, only to romp it.
  4. He is part of our strongest team. And it's not like we are just throwing in him cold. He's had 14 starts this season.
  5. Connelly is the designated Scottish Cup keeper. I'm OK with that. Interesting lineup as always. One part load balance, one part freshen things up, one part address the issues from the weekend. Not a bad bench either.
  6. I know he was in goal for the Ross County game, but this is a different kettle of fish. Sorry, you need to play your strongest 11. Hope this doesn`t come back to bite us.
  7. Strange that connolly is starting, good seeing thor start and good options to come off the bench. COYW
  8. Fielding half a different team will certainly give Aberdeen something to think about, I guess.
  9. I would settle for a 2-0 win with Stama bagging a brace..........ohhh....mibbees naw πŸ˜…πŸ˜…
  10. Today
  11. We have improved in the 2nd half of the season though. And we've only lost 2 away games in the league - both to the OF.
  12. Looks like Aberdeens proposed move for their new manager has hit the skids. not major news for us but it can potentially lead to unhappy rumblings from the fans and uncertainty from the players/manager. lets hope for an air of disappointment from the dandy dons tonight
  13. Thats my major concern. We've been hard to beat away from home, but haven't actually picked up many wins.
  14. Right now I will gladly take any kind of win, and any kind of performance as long as we are into the next round Not just for progression, but also another potential run to Hampden will boost finances even more
  15. Its a cup game, getting through is all that matters, so while scoring a few goals and pumping them would be nice, i would settle for a 95th min OG by Aberdeen, a controversial VAR assisted winner, or any other scrappy goal to win the game.
  16. None of the best Motherwell teams I have watched in the past have won anything. I'll be delighted if this one is the exception, but I never pin my hopes on cup success. Even more so now when games are played to conclusion rather than sorting things out in a replay. Really looking forward to tonight's game though. Hope none of my customers need me if we go into extra time - already have my calendar blocked out for that possibility.
  17. Nothing's ever guaranteed, but we've got the team we all wanted for years - playing attractive football, winning games and willing to go toe to toe with everyone they face, including the uglies. If they're going up there believing they'll win, so am I.
  18. Let’s hope we are better at taking our chances tonight and can restore our ability to control possession. Aberdeen on Saturday were one of the few teams that have been able to have more possession than us in a game.
  19. I think JT is due to score a goal or two for us.
  20. A quality strike from RCC but since then I have not been overly impressed but maybe just needs a good run of games but no way can you keep just and said out team
  21. We haven’t actually won too many away games, although Aberdeen in the League Cup was one of them. Extra time looming I fear.
  22. The '91 team had some good players. But they didnt dominate and control games the way this one does. It also had an average mid table finish in the league. So no surprise none of us really saw us winning the cup that season until we beat Celtic in the semi final. Even then we were up against a decent Dundee United side that we were no better than 50/50 to beat. Im not saying we will definitely win tonight, beating Aberdeen away is always a tough task. But you have to look at the possibilities going forward if we do win, and the draw has absolutely opened up with the big two drawing each other.
  23. This for me is the best opportunity we have to go on and win a cup (I said the same about LC and we got pumped off St Mirren). Celtic and Rangers are both not as strong as they normally are and we have our best team since the McCall era. I think if we're being realistic our gaffer is gone next season as is a good few of our key players if we're going to win something in the near future you'd have to go all in on this season being it if it's not to be so be it but need to have a proper good go at it.
