  1. Past hour
  2. I agree with you about: the kettle.👍 Wimmer. 👍 JBA. 🫡 COYW
  3. Today
  4. Poor state its in , its not really that old in football terms . It takes away the proximity of away fans to us and the game, keeping then up there which lessens the atmosphere. It also looks poor on tv. But I'm sure there is an ulterior motive for it we don't know about . Probably financial.
  5. Thats a separate issue Allan, although I agree with you over that. Even when away fans are allocated the upper tier at Fir Park e.g. Killie last Saturday, they are given the entire tier and can sit where they want, without being restricted to specific parts. Last Saturday it must have been only 20-25% full? This Saturday we'll see sections almost full with maybe 2/3/4 empty seats with latecomers i.e. arriving after 2.50 struggling to find a seat yet, Livingston won't open up another adjacent vacant section.
  6. Our CEO said one of the reasons we don't use it is because of the poor state it's in. I imagine that matters less when the OF fans are ripping out seats before they leave. I don't think it's the only reason.
  7. Naw , its better to have us all kind of tightly packed in together it feels like ground is full of well fans and a better atmosphere . But the away fans on the top deck is a pathetic effort for the last few seasons, anyone any idea why this is the case. Can't need repaired as the fans of the arse cheeks use it.
  8. Is it not still in need of some serious repair and remediation?
  9. Off topic a bit but if we continue to get great crowds is there scope for opening part of away stand for home fans? Hearts, hibs and Falkirk all do this.
  10. We do the same with away fans in the Mclean stand at Fir park, by putting them in the top tier only if they are not going to fill it.
  11. The last time I asked their stadium manager that question he said it was down to stewarding which baffled me (and him too I suspect) as he walked away when I asked him what the logic behind it was. I'm pretty sure it would take more stewards to monitor 2 separate areas rather than just one.
  12. Does anyone know which section the young Well fans will be using, with their drum. Just asking so that I can avoid it if possible. Cheers.
  13. My main gripe was with way he left the club and threw support under club with his contradictory stories. Anyway he done us a favour as if he hadn't quit we might not have ended up with JBA via Wimmer. JBA is just an absolute legend
  14. Similarly - as an online fan - whenever I watch games at Livi, I don't understand why they leave their main (?) stand almost completely empty. I looks really crap for the TV cameras, why not at least pretend to the world that they've got a decent crowd in by moving a section over there?
  15. We've already secured our tickets for Saturday in Block N, but it does my head in when clubs, like Livingston, confine fans to strict sections in their stadia, despite there being plenty of space. Just checked again, and it seems that, so far, they're splitting our support up into 2 quite separate blocks, P & Q and M & N, separated by an empty block, O, in the middle. Why?
  16. Just for context, Bodø Glimt are allegedly after £7m for Kasper Høgh - 25 y.o., good goal-scoring record in Norway and in the Champions League - so I think that Maswanhise is below that valuation. If we can get roughly the same fee as we received for Miller, I think that would be acceptable
  17. In general first team games only but the women may play on it once or twice at chosen moments.
  18. Out of curiosity, how often is the pitch played on? Is it only first team games or are other games played on it?
  19. Aww give the kettle a hug grizzly we know you want to 🥰
  20. So he got 1 right out of how many other costly failures. As said limited coach who got lucky.
  21. Aye Bair is 100% on Kettlewell afaik. Our recruitment team didn't exactly "identify" him given he'd literally played against us the season previously. Everybody in Scotland was aware of him, it was just Kettlewell who saw a player in him.
  22. As soon as SK signed Bair, he gave a press conference saying he was his "project" because he thought he saw potential in him and could coach him in to being a productive striker. People might not like Kettlewell, but it doesn't mean 100% of what he did was wrong. He was spot on with Bair and did make him productive and turned a nice profit for the club when he was moved on. I wouldn't want him back as a manager, but he did have some successes and we don't need to rewrite history to pretend he didn't. As others have said, recruitment is a collaboration at our level. From the data analysts to the manager and coaches, from the agents to the Chairman and CEO. Even the other players and club staff can help.
  23. I dont like SK, but that's pretty revisionist. The manager deserves as much credit for developing a player that is a success under him, just as he has to take his share of the blame of someone os shite. Maswanhise played most of the season under SK/Wimmer, and scored 5 or 6 goals. Naturally he has gotten better, with a full season of top level football under his belt, a better manager, and better players around him. However, he was hardly an undiscovered diamond when JBA turned up. Bair wasn't ignored by SK, he was behind Biereth (understandably) and no-one was arguing with him being a backup. The fact that he went on the run he did should be kudos for rhe manager, it was him that gave Bair the chance and set things up to get the best out of him. SK also said that he saw something in Bair that he thought he could use when he signed him, and he has a track record with Ross Stewart and KVV. Johnny K was a bad one, he got injured and SK gave up on him. It has been said a few times by the various folk at the club that recruitment is a collaborative effort, and it should be. I'm sure managers have pitched folk (Fadinger, Just for example), and I'm sure the recruitment team have brought a few to the manager, but I'd be very surprised if they didn't have veto power should they not want someone.
  24. Yesterday
  25. Should he get credit? Our recruitment department signed Bair, who was deemed not good enough by our manager until he had no option to play him as all our other strikers were injured. Bair hit purple patch and got his move. JT was offered to us by his agent and on recommendations from our own players was signed up. He again was hardly used. Jens and our current coaches have improved him not Kettlewell. Also the fact he refused to play Johnny and had little communication with McGhee apparantly, you wonder how much they and alot of our signings are club dictated. Kettlewell will claim credit of course. But i dont hear him owning up to the mess he left us and Killie in. He is a limited coach who got lucky.
  26. He definitely deserves credit for Bair and Maswanhise, I will give him that. However that's all he's getting 🤪🤪
