Watched it last night, they aren't any better , didn't look dangerous for 90 mins.

Jovanovic signed for San Jose Earthquakes in mid-July unfortunately.

2-2 or 3-3 game I think.

I absolutely get why you feel this way. The team took some time to earn our trust last season, and the same will be true this season, purely down to the changes of manager and personnel. However, the early signs are good. Today is the next stepping stone on that journey. It would be nice to get a win, even a point would do. However, Im more interested in the performance than the result. If we can go to a difficult away venue, play our game, control the ball and you can see patterns of play and what we are trying to achieve, I will be more than happy. Hibs will be dangerous in attack, but they can be got at, at the back. Control the ball, starve them of possession and limit their chances. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

I am still feeling a little hungover from the end of last season. The new season has come around very quickly and I have a sense that normal service may resume with regard to the OF dominating both on and off the park particularly now that two Scottish media darlings in McIness and O Neil are at the helm of the respective teams. Scottish VAR already seems to have learned absolutely nothing from the end of last season already going against the wider world football directive to only get involved with very clear and obvious errors. It would be nice to see Hearts, Falkirk and particularly ourselves carry on the momentum from last season but squad overhauls in the summer prove how difficult that will be. Aberdeen beating Hearts yesterday gives maybe the first sense that the old school Scottish football establishment are starting to reassert themselves. We were miles ahead of Hibs in the last game of last season and we finished on a genuine high despite maybe some lingering regret that it could have been even better but I get a sense that the reset button has been pressed and the league may fall back into a more predictable pattern. It would be a real shot in the arm for the season ahead of we were to dominate Hibs today like we did in May but I think it will be a much tougher test. I would take a draw right now to maintain a positive start to the season going into a very difficult Euro tie next week.

Both Motherwell and Hibs likely to be the 2 of the sharpest teams for game. Our left hand side with Willilams , Longelo and RCC will cause all teams problems . With Spaorrow, Maswanhise on the right and Said or Lowry through the middle I think we’ve got a fair amount of fire power to cause them problems . suspect both teams will score today and believe we can outscore them .
-
Not every player will turn out to be AP . he’d scored 17 goals in a one off season and not a regular scorer before hand the player mentioned has scored over 50 in 2 seasons - not the same prospect . we’ve made quite a few decent signings from that part of the world.
-
Today will be a tough test, but Hibs will probably be thinking the same. The key will be to keep the ball, stay patient, and stick to our game plan. Hopefully Longelo and Maswanhise get plenty of minutes too.

Try marrying half german half american. the ideas are stranger than bottled crisps

Here we go
- Yesterday
-
I’m hoping we can keep the ball for long periods of time and convert any chances we create.
-
We may already have one in the shape of Jake Girdwood-Reich.
-
I think that’s what we should do at kick off. Give it to Said and let him dribble it for goal.
-
Nah. You beat them with movement and passes. Don't want to get dragged down to their level – just give Said the ball and leave him to it.
-
I’d really like to see us sign a defensive/enforcer type of midfield player who could handle the knuckle draggers in the league who will go out of their way to intimidate our creative midfielders. Fight fire with fire.
-
Good Instagram post of lads flying out to faroes with RCC doing commentary, really great team spirit
-
Tell them we can let them have a fouth ........ cheap

Try being a Dundee utd fan. Thir whole front 3 all aussies
-
Yup, following them on Instagram, not seen that clip yet

I don't want to jinx it like the rest by commenting how badly other teams played in their first league game. We have still to play ours. Although we have played well so far we have been decidedly lucky in many aspects with poor finishing from the opposition etc. Hibs will have a shit load of confidence from their Euro game and will be well up for this match as well. They seem to be scoring as freely as us. Will need to sit with everything crossed tomorrow. This is going to be a tough opening game.
-
I can’t be doing with Robinson, Kerr and Craigan. After last years motherwell digs from robinson and his cronies and Craigan’s anti-JBA’s take on his tactics, id quite like to see them all fail up there.I take no enjoyment from their win v Hearts.
-
I don’t think we need another striker from the A-League.
-
From the way the manager is talking there will be several players to come. Suspect that's mainly Midfield and Attack given the amount of defenders we now have. I do think we already have a decent amount of attack minded players - Sparrow, Said, RCC, Lowry, JT are all good enough I'd like to see us go for someone like Luka Jovanović - 21 years old, mobile and scored +50 goals for Adelaide. Sounds like the right target market and would be interesting to see if he can make the step up.

Anyone following Toulouse instagram account? Jens prematch talks would have me running through a brick wall to watch his team, the latest is uncensored, he likes a cuss does Jens

A striker and another ball playing midfielder would be most welcome.
