Was surprised to see some comments on match thread suggesting Slattery should be substituted. I thought he was immense in both and attacking and winning the ball back. Sure not everything he tried came off but to continue to try seems to be the philosophy of the manager which Slats and the other players are thriving on.
-
Big shout out to Slattery who was outstanding tonight.
-
That ayr game i think was my 2nd ever well league game ( after Partick, plus I saw us beat ajax 4-2 in may 1977 for first ever game) Great stats pal but yer calendar is faulty, its 2026 🤣🤣
-
If we have to win one, I choose the other one. I'd prefer both, so let's get things rolling with a victory here.
-
Brilliant tonight. Maybe in hindsight he should have started Preistman ahead of Watt, but those the breaks. To see them time wasting early in the second half tells you all you need to know.
-
That goal

Not sure whether to be happy or not tonight. We could, and arguably should, have taken three points, but to get the late equaliser with ten men almost feels like a win. We were not at our best today but still gave them an absolute lesson in football. As for McLean! I have watched the BBC highlights and have no complaint about the red card, but how the f*** did Soutar get away with that challenge on Just, and why the f*** did the BBC completely ignore it in the highlights.

49 years I've followed Motherwell home and away and this is without doubt the best Motherwell team I've ever seen. We may win nothing but my god to have reached 11/02/2020 and Only lost 3 games Only one team outwith the OF has beat us (luckily) Conceded less than a goal a game Played the OF 3 times at Motherwell and never lost Consistently passing average over 82% No one has dominated us we have had more possession in every game even the cup semi final. No one has deserved to beat us this season. It is actually a travesty that we are unlikely to win a trophy when utter shite like St Mirren have. However you don't need to be good to win a cup as Aberdeen and St Mirren prove. We should just saviour this season as we are unlikely to see it's likes again. What a performance tonight , team deserve every plaudit going. This is officially MY best ever footballing Motherwell team since my first game, a 5-1 win against Ayr Utd, in September 1977. Just my opinion I'm sure others have their own recollections. **Also credit to the ground staff you can clearly see the pitch starting to recover.

Went for Welsh but O'Donnell close. Both solid defensively but Welsh's goal and GIRFUY celebration swung it.
-
Outstanding! Yea we didnt win but full credit to the lads we put everything into that game and a point was the least we deserved. Thought butland was their best player. We were the better team by any metric. Letting them sing for 85 minutes then shutting them right up was a nice touch! And i reckon Priestman is going to be some player next season!
-
Thought we looked a bit rusty right at the start and we're a goal down before we took control. Team's got guts and draw the least we deserved. If we can get more ruthless with finishing I still think this could be a real special season. I think Rangers are a bit like St Mirren but with more money.
-
Spot on mate. We weren't at our best but still way better than them . I've been supporting Motherwell for 60 years and this is arguably the best footballing side I've watched in that time. If anyone deserves the Scottish cup this year it's Motherwell.
-
I am hoping MJC predicts 0-3, no positive vibes please 🤣
-
Defo red card pal, no complaints
-
Wasn’t given at the time and I might be wrong
-
Rangers time wasting so early in the game speaks volumes about how they approached it.
-
The gaffer
-
It hurts much more because that team were great and could and should have won something somehow the management team denied us a legacy by not signing a semi decent keeper
-
See a lot of comments saying we weren't at our best...I thought we played very well...I've seen just better but well deserved draw
-
numpty started following Motherwell v Aberdeen 15/02/2025 and MOTM Rangers 11-Feb-2026

We’re not really a scudding sort of team under JBA, and that’s fine by me. (But doesn’t 4-0 the other week count as a scudding anyway?)
-
Just in and I’m mentally exhausted. Can’t imagine how hard it must be playing against 12 men and a brother in VAR. the sending off was right in front of me and I thought it was a foul and a booking .. nothing else!! I’ll watch it later and see if I am wrong. We worked our arses off…. Proud of them and the h**s just wasted time from the 5min mark. Embarrassing by them. on a side issue, wtf was their ticketing about? They were standing in the aisles and there must have been 5500 of them in that stand.

Always think inactivity is bad for teams and that could explain our really poor start to the match that's possibly cost us 3 points. Rangers goal was poor from our point of view, Rangers player has ran 50 yards without a challenge. Overall we deserved at least a point and for me dominated the first half bar the first ten minutes. It was all half chances though we never really created a big chance and at times our final ball could have been better. Maybe Jens needs to look for someone that can hit good corners. Second half it was more even but I don't remember Ward having any serious saves to make, unlike his opposite number. Got to give the team credit for hanging in there after the red card and winning the point cos we absolutely deserved it over the 90 minutes.

Tonight was the number 1 defence playing the number 2. Difference was night and day
