  2. The problem with offside is the rule hasn't kept up with VAR. It was originally designed to prevent goal-hanging, but evolved over the years. I can't imagine any of the original lawmakers intended for goals to be disallowed because the attacker's little toe was a centimetre front of a defender's little toe. Their needs to be some leeway there - although I imagine that would be misinterpreted too. To keep things fair, I'd always be giving the benefit of the doubt to attackers in offside situations and the benefit of the doubt to defenders in the handball situations.
  3. He's on the record multiple times regarding his disdain for that playing surface, so fingers crossed.
  4. I think he'll be just fine there. Killie fans are well known for being patient, courteous, easy going and understanding. The only swear words or oaths heard at Rugby Park are from away fans.
  5. Exactly, "Hawww ......you haven't a clue....booooooooo". Next day.....resigns and does exclusive interview with The Scottish Sun with Derek 'Oprah Winfrey' McGregor Ps. Yup, still annoyed 🤣
  6. Didn't realise he was doing time.....cue..............🤪
  7. Sacre bleu!! That would be magnifique but can't see us getting as much as that
  8. On that theme I remember growing up in Hamilton there was a rumour in the early 90's Accies tried to sign Hans Gillhaus! ..🤪🤪
  9. His brand of football on a plastic pitch, good luck to them šŸ˜‚.

  11. Or maybe at the first Killie away trip to Fir park next season šŸ¤”
  12. I’m sure if they sat down for a bit they could reword the offside law to enable quick VAR decisions. Another area needing some focus is handball decisions and again I think if they put their heads together they could come up with a quick checklist for VAR team. Just a few questions with yes or no answers. Perhaps you need all answers to be yes or maybe if any answer is yes then it’s a penalty. Third area than can affect a game in a big way is red and yellow cards. This one might be the hardest to resolve and I’m not sure how we get around that. Not VAR but Last point is my current pet hate and not sure if rules have changed or not but apparently refs just ignore the obstruction rule now as players get away with jumping if front of opposing players, well away from playing distance of the ball, and don’t get penalized. Seems to have started happening in the last year or two.
  13. If he thinks he got abuse by our fans just wait and see what awaits him at rugby park.

  15. Admiral jersey with embroidered badge and Ian Skelly sponsor logo, match worn in the lead up to Motherwell's Scottish Cup Final victory At what stage 'in the lead up' was it worn then, cause it sure as hell wasn't the semi finals.
  16. Gather Mark Ferrie has been released...
  17. Book him in for French lessons now. Oui .
  18. When it comes to offside its a factual decision You are either onside or offside so they spend forever to prove it. If the referee/linesman has given the wrong decision then that by definition is a clear and obvious error regardless of time taken. I think the offside rule needs changed to daylight rather than toenail
  19. Retire the #38 jersey if that comes to fruition šŸ˜‚
  20. Was Just about to say that. French Media reporting Strasbourg suggesting fee in region of €9m/Ā£7.6m
  21. For what it's worth, the latest on MIller I'd be quite happy with that valuation, but we all know it's going to end up being "undisclosed" and a different fee quoted in every media outlet.
  22. Special mention to Scott McDonald today on the 20th anniversary of Skippy Sunday/Celtic humiliation day.
  23. Rumour on P & B that Shane Blaney has been released.
  24. I'd be wanting it photomatched at least, any COA isn't worth the paper it's printed on

  26. Jordan McGhee says ā€œall good things must come to an endā€ after he said his goodbyes to Dundee FC. The 28-year-old spent six years at Dens Park and played under four managers, winning promotion twice. The former Hearts and Falkirk defender played 197 times for the Dark Blues, scoring 21 goals. McGhee was Dundee’s Players’ Player of the Year in his debut season for the club and this term won the Goal of the Season award for a fine strike at Dundee United. He played a key role in the 2020/21 promotion through the play-offs after being transformed into an effective box-to-box midfielder, scoring three goals across the semi-final and final. And in the past two Premiership seasons he has notched 10 goals for Dundee, including a double in the 4-2 win at Tannadice in March. ā€˜Rollercoaster’ The versatile defender is expected to join Motherwell this summer. ā€œAll good things must come to an end,ā€ McGhee said. ā€œI feel the time has come to move on and face a fresh challenge in my career. ā€œIt’s been a rollercoaster since I joined almost six years ago and what a journey it’s been together. ā€œThank you to all my teammates over the years, managers, the amazing staff behind the scenes and the fans for your continued support through the highs and lows. ā€œWe’ve shared some amazing memories together. Ones that I’ll never forget.ā€
