Anything is possible during the summer. Reality doesn't kick in until September.
- Today
-
I'd love to think so.
-
I reckon thats a deflection tactic...change the narrative to tje unruly fans.
-
Bring in the right man and we'll be better next season after completion of our Phase 1 of Project Purposeful Passing.
-
One point that really gets my goat is context of what's happening around a player is completely ignored. For example with Nicholson, there's no aknowledgement that the Celtic player nudging him could result in him handling the ball and completely ignoring the fact that he must have in part used his head to project the ball 20 yards out the park. Similar with Longelo- because it hit his upper arm he's ok - what about the player pushing him into the position. Putting any MFC bias to the side what is clear that a) we don't have technology and b) we don't have professionals who understand the context. For me there's no question the game is much worse for VAR and needs binned.

The way we were (sobs):
-
The dammig remark in that Var review is Gollum saying that the two views shown were all they had to go on, thats a direct result of the Teemu VAR we use in Scotland, add that to the incompetence of the officials and we have a system not fit for purpose.
-
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: if we’re keeping VAR, then the KMI panel and Collum’s clown review show need to go. They serve no purpose other than exposing unaccountable incompetence and winding fans up even more.
-
I have looked at the images multiple times, video and stills, and tried to be as impartial as I can be. At the end of the games that night it didn't make any difference to what we needed to do at Easter Road after the Hibs result at Ibrox, but I can't for the life of me see how they can be so definitive with those images. Willie Collum: "for us there is clear evidence", "in our opinion this is clear" "VAR, AVAR and referee are the important people here". Andrew Dallas: "definitely hits his arm" Seems to me they are basically saying it doesn't matter that most people, other than Celtic or Hibs fans, can't say one way or another whether the ball definitely makes contact with Sam Nicholson's hand/arm it's what we think that counts. For me they are seeing, or say they are seeing, something most other people can't. Most people can't see ghosts either.👻

I dont condone violence, or threats of violence. The opposite in fact. However, its quite telling that the SFA have come out and blamed fans and the media for their "employees" feeling under threat. You cant present in such an incompetent manner and not expect criticism. The fact that a few nutters decide to behave, well, like nutters, doesnt mean we should all shut up.
-
The contortions Collum finds himself in trying to justify decisions would be hilarious if they werent so serious. He knows the rules fine. But the irony is, that by continuing to defend his referees in such a manner, he strips them of any remaining credibility that they have on a monthly basis. The public can all see that the Emperor has no clothes. Unfortunately the Emperor has absolutely no idea that he is standing in front of thousands naked.
-
Most people think that about them but the SFA is a cosy wee corrupt clique that thinks its untouchable and can do no wrong, their sense of entitlement and the "we are never wrong" attitude is unbelievable.
-
Collum points out that the KMI panel is unofficial and not part of the SFA, which is true. He then explains its purpose is to stop folk claiming his lot are 'marking our own homework' - which would be fair enough, if they didn't simply ignore the KMI panel's opinions whenever they want, and award themselves a big gold star.

Wednesday 16th May 2026 Motherwell 2-3 Celtic On 22nd May 2026 The Scottish Football Association (SFA) Key Match Incident refereeing panel ruled that Celtic should not have been awarded a last-minute penalty in the above match. On 29th May 2026 The SFA’s Head of Refereeing, Willie Collum said the decision to award a last minute penalty to Celtic in the above match was correct. Does the SFA Head of Refereeing not talk to the members of the SFA KMI Panel? On this evidence, clearly not! I wonder if they realise how stupid and incompetent this makes them look.

Here we go surprise
- Yesterday
-
Collum and his troop of useless twats should be shown the door before they embarrass Scottish football any further.
-
Yes, it was down to Andrew Dallas. He was very assertive and definitive In his comments to John Beaton, despite the fact that the images he was looking at were far from conclusive. A classic case of rerefereeing. That said, John Beaton should not have caved in. t that
-
Beaton checked fuck all at that screen. Dallas told him what to award. A clear case of VAR refereeing the game. Collum is a lying prick of the highest order. The end.
-
I switched off when Collum referred to the Motherwell shirt as ‘yellow’ in the Longelo incident - sums up how in touch he is with Scottish football. The VAR review is not a show I tend to watch but even in 10 minutes of viewing, you can tell an explanation has been concocted to align with the VAR decision. Dallas being so quick and definitive to call handball from limited angles in the 95th minute of a title deciding game will never sit right with me. The more you hear from the SFA unfortunately, the more it smells.
-
It’s smaller than the Motherwell area in terms of population, but thats academic.
-
Sam Nicholson has one strong hand to punch it 20 yards!
-
The Asst VAR questioned if it was a clear handball also. Its similar to the Just tackle at Parkhead where VAR is giving leading statements and when the ref raises concerns to them, they are batted down.
-
Yes and even at that, his hand is within his body shape and is only there because it was pushed up through contact with the Celtic player so it could not be a penalty anyway. Och, why do we bother? The referees make it up to suit their agenda and it's getting more and more blatant. I'll renew my ST to see The 'Well as usual but I'm even more certain now that, when push comes to shove, our game is rigged.
-
I switched it off...I cannae listen to the clown
-
No acountabillity, or responsibillity, made up shite to justify their incorrect decisions week after week and nothing ever gets done, its embarrassing, no wonder Scottish football is seen as a joke.
