How’s many points do You normally need to make top 6 after 33 games?

Given that my aim each year is a point a game then 15 points by now is a good return. If we can get the forward line working more efficiently then 12 points should easily be attainable. In saying that we are something like 4th or 5th highest scorers.

The issue with the way we play is we rely a lot on the Fbs decision making which for the last 2 games has been poor. Longelo wants to beat 3/4 players every time he has the ball and Koutrombis can't play through a press because of his body shape when he receives the ball. I don't particularly like SOD but his passing is far better than JK. Watt and Fadinger are both good at recycling the ball but there not playing penatrive passes through the lines often enough for me Slattery was in good pockets multiple times and they turned and played backwards. Ward the less said the better I wanted him dropped after the 1st game of the season and continues to be like a holigram in goal.

Dare I say it, Osong had a couple of decunt bits of hold up play in his limited time, also looks to have shifted some timber.

I thought both Said and Priestmen looked decent when they came on today. That's actually the first time I've seen Priestman where he didn't look like a little lost boy out of his depth. Looked for the ball and tried to carry it forward.

Most important thing today for me after last weekend is we didn't lose . We have a recent habit of starting seasons well then it falls apart in November -January leaving us too much to make top 6

Welsh cruised that today. Couldn't have done anything about the goal. If we can get him on a permanent deal I'd make it a priority.

The seven games to Christmas before back to back games against the arse cheek’s are Killie (A) Hibs (H) Hearts (H) Falkirk (A) Livingston (H) Dun Utd (A) Dundee (H) I’d like to think we can get 12 to 15 points from those fixtures but given that we’ve only managed 15 points in the first 11 games, am I being over optimistic?

Exactly we just lack that bit of urgency when and where it matters and that’s what kills us. With the equaliser today Slattery doesn’t mess about with the corner, it goes in and we get the goal. Bingo!

I stand corrected , it's 3, the Hearts game just felt like a defeat 😁

Aberdeen had a couple of short spells but all in all we kept our game Going for 90 mins which is good to see. We’ve had a few games where our game has dropped off second half or after 60 mins or after subs. Thought subs some well when they came on today but more importantly the team performance didnt drop.

No real standouts but probably between Welsh and Slats. Went for Slattery who ran himself into the ground.

Only league defeats are Celtic and Falkirk.

Is it not just 3 defeats?

Oh I can't say I didn't enjoy it. There are just things we need to sharpen up. However that won't be a surprise to players or the manager.

That’s a compliment to us. My comment was based on some of their more recent results but you’re right about today, we totally dominated them.

Welsh pips it for me but Slattery I thought did very well.

I think I’m going against the grain here but I really enjoyed that game today, I thought at periods during that game we were exceptional. The way we shifted the ball about is better than anyone else in the league. What we do miss though is that striker who we’d be confident of converting any half chance also a solid reliable goalie. Hope we can use some cash quickly to get a couple of players in rather than having money in the bank and paying a chunk of it to the taxman

We can’t fix everything at once so just the fact of us having 65% of the ball is the best way for us to “defend”. I think we all agree we need to improve up front. If we can add the end result To our play then not many teams will beat us, even if we don’t improve defensive wise.
