Thats fair enough from their perspective. But they have less than 7k seats. Not sure if they could have thrown up a temporary stand down the far side for this season, but they are certainly missing out on some significant revenue given the size of this seasons away attendances. Cant make this one as I have a family event, but I agree it will be a tough game. Be nice to keep our 100% league record on plastic this season, but Id be happy with another point on the road at a difficult venue to keep the gap between the 2 clubs.

numpty started following Falkirk v Motherwell 3/12/2025

A good performance in general but thought Welsh completely strolled it. Hope we can keep him beyond January. Watt, Just and McGinn also contenders.

Enjoyed that yesterday, decent entertainment for a nil nil and another good performance. Disappointing not to win it, only lacked a bit of ruthless finishing but made good chances against league leaders. Great to see a five figure crowd against non OF opposition.

I think Falkirk are big enough now that they don't need to concern themselves with away fans. Quite simply we're an unwanted distraction.

Thoroughly enjoyed yesterday's game, probably moreso than Tuesday's game against Hibs. We were up against 11 men for the duration of the match and playing the league leaders. We fully deserved our point but didn't quite do enough to warrant all 3. A good first half, shaky 25 minutes after the break and finished strongly. Make no mistake, Hearts had all the hallmarks of a proper Derek McInnes team. JBA got his tactics spot on in the first 45; McInnes reacted well at half time and JBA regained control with his late changes. We played well in the early stages but didn't create much and overelaborated. Unlucky to be denied an early goal by VAR again. A shoulder offside? I ask you. Neither clear nor obvious. Hearts started the second half well and had us pinned back for a good 20 minutes or so, but we didn't buckle. The highlight of the game for me was Callum Hendry's goal line clearance. In general though, our defence played well and Stephen Welsh was my MOTM. The midfield wasn't quite firing on all cylinders, but played well nonetheless. We finished strongly, but poor finishing allowed Schwolow that little, but all crucially important opportunity, to showcase his skills. Still, we created chances. I thought Kevin Clancy had a poor game and was outthought by Derek McInnes' charges. The crime count of 4 fouls and 2 bookings versus 14 fouls and 4 bookings tells its own story. Shankland should have received an early yellow for lifting his hand and smacking one of our players in the face; and Devlin should have received a second yellow. Lessons learned for us? We need to be more clinical up front and probably a goalscoring main striker should be on our shopping list. Callum Hendry and Ap Stam just don't do it for me. A missing piece in the jigsaw.

I gave it to Just because he’s such an intelligent player and genuinely a joy to watch. That said, I could easily have given it to Welsh for the stability he brings to the system and the quality he shows playing out from the back. Our number one priority should be trying to sign him permanently or bringing in someone similar.

Just went to buy tickets for this and apparently it’s physical tickets only and they can’t be posted now, so somehow need to get to Fir Park during the day before Wed night. Why does Scottish football make going to games so damn difficult at be times, grrrr.
-
It’s not a must-win game, but it’s definitely one we should be looking to win comfortably. 0-2 to the ‘Well.

Great performances from McGinn, Watt and Fadinger but it has to be Welsh for me.

Stoke would be a big upgrade from Falkirk.

Agree that that it will be a very difficult game. Falkirk are a decent side whose style isn't bad although a tad overhyped. Their most impressive quality right now is the good luck that they're carrying. This season they've received at least one game changing 50/50 decision in their favour in most games. Right now, a draw would be a great result for us.

Yep completely agree. It's been a huge bugbear of mine over the last 10/15 years was our almost stagnant home support hovering around 4000/4500. I used to despair seeing other clubs getting real improvements yet ours went nowhere. So the turnaround this season is really pleasing. The average home attendance right now sits at 8032. It's been a, long long time since we experienced these kind of figures especially when there's only one home OF game included in them. I realise there's an element of bigger away supports in those figues (Falkirk 1700) but we are maintaining around 5500 / 6000 a game and when football ain't cheap it shows if you entertain people they respond. Maybe we are starting to exorcise the memory of the utter dross under Alexander, Hammel and Kettlewell from the memories of the occasional attendees. Our average will take a hit for next two home games and it being a lead up to Christmas. However long may this improvement continue it just makes the match day experience so much better.

What's the parking like here?

This will be a really difficult game, probably the most difficult in this current run of games. Falkirk are a decent side that play good football. Fair play to McGlynn who seems to want to play the JBA way too. its also on the plastic as well so I’d be happy with a draw here and then a win against livi on Saturday.

Is that the Scottish version of a cold, rainy Wednesday night in Stoke? 😁
-
Payback time!! Let’s get all 3’points and a few goals.
-
How many will turn up on a Wednesday night in winter at Falkirk? Keep warm and COYW

Dont know if it was mentioned further back. But absolutely fabulous attendence today. Well done to the 4600 Hearts fans in attendance. But to have over 6300 Motherwell fans there today is pleasing to see. More power to Jens elbow!

St Mirren having parallels with us last year, falling off a cliff after the LC Semi. Was mentioned on P&B, but at times today (first half) we were putting in the kind of performance Celtic/Rangers routinely do to us at Fir Park.

Thought Just had a really good game and had he finished that chance he would have been my pick. However, Stephen Welsh was absolutely outstanding. Both defensively and bringing it out from the back. We really need to try and get him on a PCA in January.
-
Thoroughly enjoyed that today. Dominated the first half without really creating a lot. Havent seen the disallowed goal again yet, so cant comment if it was fair enough or not. However, Ward was barely troubled. Second half McInnes changed it up and got their press working more effectively and stopped us playing. Still rarely troubled us, but we were getting worryingly deep before Jens made his changes and we wrestled back control. Finished the game strongly and created 3 really good chances. Just really should score and their keeper makes 2 excellent saves from Slattery and Fadinger. Could have won it. Really good performance. We need to maintain these levels going into the next run of games and more points should come.

Someone shouted something to his family , we have previous for it.
