Was interested to read the latest update from the club AGM - part of which covered the Stadium options study, "state of the pitch" and also confirmed that the manager is on an open contract -which i guess means he can walk with the club receiving no compensation (if I'm understanding that right) Full article is here: Tickedy App

I think it’s fairly certain that no matter how much we could offer JBA any decent sized club can easily top any monetary offer from us. So pretty much it’s all Down to JBA and how much is he enjoying his work, how much does he want to stay and see how far he can take Motherwell and is he confident and patient enough to wait another year or so to move into a much higher paid position. Hopefully MFC are already making a short list of options to replace JBA when he leaves. Is that our current assistant? I don’t know. Whoever it is has to continue the approach that JBA has established.

I have a feeling that he’ll stay for another season if the following happens, TJ is sold for +£5M and a quality striker replacement has been identified and bought, if a daft bid is made only one of the midfield is sold and replaced, as with Watt, Just, Fadinger, Nicholson, Priestman and our youngsters we have a great core midfield which could lose one and still be strong while a new midfielder gets up to speed with our system - Slattery will leave in the summer so I’m not including him. Defence is where the money should be used most to strengthen the team. although with European games (should we make it, which is extremely likely) causing extra pressure on the squad it might be we need to increase the squad to provide more depth but I’m hopeful - on what I’ve seen of them so far this season - that our youngsters will step up and provide some of that.

Definitely, if We win both games it piles the pressure on rangers and Celtic. They have a cup game as well as a league game to kick lumps out of each other. its hard to see us winning all of our remaining games but likewise it’s also hard to see any of the top 6 teams winning all their games. This is why it is important to focus on one game at a time. You can only win one game at a time. I didn’t mention Hearts but we need them to be dropping points. With respect to finishing above the arse cheeks we already have that within our own control.

Its a big If, because we are Motherwell & have no right to assume we will beat SPL teams, but IF...... we win these 2 games in hand thats 6 points bagged at a time only 1 of the old firm could collect 3 points. Ideally they draw & we make it 5 points on them both. IF that happens, the narrative changes because the table will show it loud and clear! IF......🤣

Great listen! Subscribed! 🧡❤️🧡

As the team playing catchup, we definitely cant afford to be dropping points against teams in the bottom 6 if we have any real aspirations of winning the league. Winning all our games will be a big ask, but if we did, Id be pretty confident 83 points wins the title.....
-
We have 11 games to play, 33 points all of them massive games, win them all and who knows where we will end up. We have missed two big opportunities for sucess so far this season, so lets hope we can be the best we can be in the run in and maybe it will be 3rd time lucky for the biggest prize of all, coyw.

I think the scottish press are trying to a job of that as they all seem to just assume Jens will go to Sellik. Usual plan just to unsettle team. Hopefully all ignored by Jens and players and we focus on remaining 11 games. We cant afford any slip ups so here's hoping for another huge crowd to roar on the lads. COYW

If we can get wins against both the Dundee teams we are 100% in the title race. Any less than 6 points I think the dream may be derailed

If Fadinger starts he's probably a straight swap for Priestman, but it would be rough on any of Saturday's midfield if they were dropped. They bossed it.

(Assuming we dont win it) I hope hearts win the league by 3 points after playing one more home game than the OF. A joint OF conspiracy crusade would sustain me through the summer. For us, I'm hoping we have a home game in the last week of the season so I can come home and see this team in the flesh just once. (I wouldn't go to Rangers or celtic away even if we could win the league there, and tickets would be tricky for the other games. ) For Saturday, Fadinger should be back, and you could see him coming in for any of the midfield 3. I'd hate to see Slattery dropped for inventing cheating, but Priestman would be very unlucky to miss out, and Watt just makes us much better. Other than that, I don't expect much rotation. It should be our best XI after a weeks rest. Utd wont be easy, and I can see them sitting in. We will once again give up a golden opportunity to the opposition in the first 5 mins, then after that hopefully we can settle into our game and be patient.

Thanks for sharing, I've missed having a dedicated motherwell podcast. If you ever need a gobshite to guest on the show, let me know.

When is Johnny K due back for selection?
-
We are due to have 3 away and 2 home post split, which works in with us playing Hearts and Celtic at Fir park with rangers, Falkirk and hibs away. So not sure that they can mess with us.
-
Based on a (non-fact checked) chat with my hearts supporting mate - based on the current top 6 hearts are due 4 away fixtures including Falkirk, so I'd assume that one will change to tynecastle... meaning Falkirk 19/19 and hearts 20/18. If true probably works out nicely for the powers at be... they wont upset the OF on that, nor do Hibs out a home derby. Just hope they dont take the opportunity to shaft us! (Again!)
-
Obviously hoping we get all 3 points in our game but I’m also hoping that the arse cheeks kick lumps out of each other on the Sunday, resulting in perhaps some red cards and maybe a few injuries to weaken them over the next few games.

Its a long week without midweek games!
-
Good listen! Is this going to be a regular/ weekly production? I've found a few motherwell podcasts in the past which i enjoyed, but all seem to be quite irregular. Look forward to hearing more anyway 👍

Is it no Saturday yet? 🥱

Excellent work guys. Enjoyed that.

Almost needed subtitles to listen to it though Andy articulate. Really grinds me how sellik fan pundits obviously trying to unsettle team bu constantly saying Askou is a favourite to go there. Hopefully he has seen himself what the old firm are like and instead wants to make us the scottish bodo-glimt. Fingers crossed

Good work lads, really enjoyed it and great to watch a podcast ehere Askou isn't a shoe in to go to Sellik
