Yup, no chance would happen but what a difference he would make

I’m pretty sure Swansea may have an issue with giving him back on loan with them still having to shovel out £30k pw into his bank account

Can we get him back on loan then please?

Stephen Welsh picked up a bad looking injury last night, Swansea fans have been raving about him. Less so Elijah, pretty much a case of “he’s not good enough and too small and weak” screaming from their fans

I think we tend to overrate how good they are, the money being generated by the English clubs especially premership and championship level means they can attract the best players from all over the world. So paying 1 or 2 million for say a player from motherwell is a cheap low cost option for them, so when a better more expensive player is available, some players game time is limited purely on their perceived ability, Turnbull, Hastie, Johnson etc . In the SPL they were first pick starters, in other leagues they are squad players with limited game time only, Lennon miller for example.

Mmmmmmmm. Hungry now 🤪

Are you sure you didn't just get totally blootered in Café Andaluz and imagined the whole thing?

Nothing worse than someone posting when they are on holiday in a sunny climate! 🤣🤣🤣, enjoy bud

Hi Thomson, Drop me an email Derek.Watson@thewellsociety.uk

Better performances certainly give us hope but the jury is still out.

If it’s me I’m in Lanzarote so never seen it….so don’t comment ( did put in somewhere big result & hopefully we can push on ) might have missed it though coz I didn’t post I was away 30 times 😂

Only the auld yins.

Was hoping no one had noticed 🤣

Very true. If we find a way to get players to their peak and then flog them, it's a great model.

You missed Sarge.

Rosemary.....the telephone operator?...... no Penry.......the mild mannered janitor? COULD BE!!

As long as it keeps working for our business model...

Nope. Not you.

Bit of a mixed bag really. Turnbull was doing fine at Celtic until he got injured. He established himself at Cardiff then picked up another bad one and has struggled every since. Max Johnston won a national cup and two league titles after he left us. No idea why he chose the car crash that is Derby County after that, but was another one who was hampered by injury after he had become a regular starter. Miller has been picking up quite a few minutes and made a decent number of starts at Udinese, but the team as a whole has struggled this season. Welsh has been a standout at Swansea. I said last season I thought we had seen peak Watt and peak Just and while I'd have been delighted to keep them it was excellent business cashing in on the pair.

If that little dig was aimed at me, which I can only assume it was given I’m one of the manager’s biggest critics and recently used the ‘tick tock’ wording, at least have the decency to get your facts right before trying to be a smartarse. I did post in the thread. Perhaps read it before talking shite.

Certainly wasnt expecting folks to change their mind after 1 match but find it interesting that here we are, Tuesday, 3 full days after the event and two of the boards biggest proponents of sack the gaffer havent shown up in this thread to even discuss the teams performance. Tick tock and all that.......

Ward hasn’t played a game yet for QPR it does highlight just how far behind Scottish clubs and national team are in the pecking order . id be quite happy for Ward , Max J , Welsh , just , Miller and Turnbull to waltz back through the FP door - shame they’re not thriving elsewhere

I couldn't agree more , I have been saying for long and weary that collum is the problem. But he seems to be untouchable at the SFA. Last seasons shenanigans which enabled Celtic to win the league should have been the end of him.

David Turnbull getting 20 mins again for Cardiff and Max Johnston in and out of a struggling Derby side. Maybe we do overrate their chances of reaching the top level.

And toulouse lost at weekend and Just was an unused sub for Swansea. See.....overrated the lot of them! 🤣🤣
