  1. Past hour
  2. Kevin van veen was overweight and out of condition when we signed him and came good. Come on now. It just seems that we are picking on players for the sake of it just now
  3. Some players we signed probably hadn't done a full pre season. Again I think we need to cut players some slack over this. Why shouldn't players be professional players if they've been signed late in the season and had to get their fitness up?
  4. If that's the case they should not be professional footballers, asking a well trained and fit player to play 90 mins of football once or twice a week is not asking a lot.
  5. Probably is but we just need to get on with it. Not the only team with injuries just now
  6. Today
  7. Let’s hope our injury list isn’t as long as it seems like it might be. 🥴
  8. I don't agree with that. I don't think it's other teams "sussing us out". When teams are losing of course they are going to try and change shape to try and win - and let's not forget we have a weakened midfield just now with Slattery out. Just was benched due to his international travels - we are weakened with injuries just now as well plus we lack options up top. Of course it's concerning that we can't hold onto a lead but we aren't the only team in the same position just now. Five games in. I think we need to cut JBA a bit of slack just now
  9. It’s still early(ish) days but so far JBA hasn’t shown any evidence of good game management so far and you have just provided two clear examples of that. There is obviously time for him and us to sort that out and indeed he does have credit in the bank with the team playing some nice football (in the middle of the park mainly) but we have thrown away three consecutive wins from winning positions due to poor play at both ends and poor use of substitutions to try and ‘shut the game down’. I said this the other day, we might very well look back on our early games especially that Hearts-Kilmarnock-Dundee trio as a very, very big set of missed opportunities this season.
  10. Thats a good point - I suspect many of the players are knackered by 60 mins we need strong subs to keep momentum or at least keep the ball - st the moment injuries are preventing us having the depth we need
  11. One worrying thing for me is that two managers, McInnes and Presley have changed things at half time and we have struggled. After the first round of games all managers will have had a close look at us. Let's hope JBA is able to adjust our way of playing if the opposition has sussed us out.
  12. There was a smash in the bridge on Saturday. Happened infront of us that essentially closed a lane and a half due to the glass. Made us miss the first 5 mins and left the house at 1pm. A journey that normally takes 75mins took 2 hours.
  13. Yesterday
  14. Maybe not, but through Transport Scotland, it did design the surrounding infrastructure and serious questions about capacity and other related issues were raised at the time but these were ignored. Its a long story and not for this forum, but in short, the Queensferry Crossing was deemed to be a straight replacement for the Forth Road Bridge and in no way was it to increase capacity. Sorry, I digress from the Dundee game.
  15. That’s because there weren’t any 😤.
  16. Aye he was a bit vague on it in his interview
  17. I don't think the government puts out the cones.
  18. Maybe waiting for the next home match to pay tribute?
  19. He has previous for that. I'm not saying it didn't happen, but it felt like every week we lost (or didn't win) he told the press he had a recent meeting with the refs who told him the exact opposite decision would be made on a call that went against us.
  20. Kettlewell actually said that he had a meeting with refs where they talked about situations like this and they were told a penalty wouldn't be given. It's in his post match interview I get why they are unhappy to a point as the ball bounced off the other player but then folk are saying the player should not have had his hands up - however I suppose football is instinctive and things happen so quickly
  21. Tell me about it. We have to negotiate it travelling to every home game. Blame the Scottish Government. Trust me, I know about it all too well.
  22. Any idea why we weren’t sporting black armbands yesterday in memory of Bobby Graham.
  23. Apparently ichaneacho now worth £25 million!! Looking forward to hearing Rodgers complain about Beaton 😂😂
  24. See, I can understand why it was given but I think stonewaller is pushing it. I get his hand is out from his body, but it deflects onto his arm from close range and I felt he was trying to bring his arm towards his body rather than away from it. I actually thought the one on the line a few minutes earlier was more of a shout as it stopped a certain goal. But thats not the rule anymore (if it ever was) so probably the correct decision. Edit: feck Kettlebell! 😆😆😆
  25. It will always be given if it is the arse cheeks , no chance any other team , especially when it leads to a defeat for them.
  26. The penalties that the arse cheeks get all stonewallers if you listen to their scumbag fans. Fortunately I dont.
