  1. Past hour
  2. Would take a draw if offered to me. We are needing to be more clinical in front of goal. Sellik hopefully leave us plenty of space but no point when we have nothing up front. Hendry so laboured and just doesn't get into positions and when he does he doesn't take chances. Also need our top players to be on form
  3. Thought O’Donnell played well when he came on. I see Slattery taking some stick but I thought he was decent when he came on, not so much Osong though. For a while I had been giving our forwards the benefit of the doubt, saying that we didn’t give them decent service. Now though, I think we have been creating more chances but not taking them. While i think top priority is a striker for us we might also work on some shooting practice for the team. 😳
  4. A number 9 is a must in January but for me a left back should also be a priority, longelo clearly offers something going forward but defensively he hasn't got it,he gets caught out of position far to easy then doesn't have the desire to get back,I would be all for giving him a go further up the park and sign a proper left back.
  5. Happy days. Eh. Hope we get a win with a good performance but will have to see how goes we have to get a win sometime against them why not tuesday. Mon the Well
  6. So, the optimists will see this a chance of bouncing back and ending a run of eleven(?) losses in as many of our last home games against Celtic. But this won’t be any different. Either 0-4 or 2-3 with them scoring the winner in stoppage time. Either way we just don’t have what it takes to win this one.
  7. For all the mistakes he made earlier in the season, Ward is really starting to come good. Ward for me today
  8. We’re a proper number 9 away from this being an outstanding season. Hopefully the board push the boat out and give JBA the backing to sign one in January. Otherwise, we’ll look back on this season and wonder what might have been.
  9. Disappointed not to get at least a point today, which shows how far we have come in 2025 One thing we do need as others have mentioned is a goal machine for the big occasion. A Higdon , John Sutton, Moult (2015-2017) , a Tommy Coyne or a Dougie Anyway onwards to the Celtic and St Mirren games
  10. Our good run was always going to come to an end . We played well for 20 mins and didn’t take our chances . As much as I hate to say it rangers were the better team and deserved to win . i don’t like picking out individual players , I don’t think it was down to any single player today that we lost . Felt it more that we lacked belief that we could win.
  11. We just have to be patient. The good work that JBA has done so far is astounding. He can’t fix everything at once and I’m surprised by how much he has fixed already. Players are going to have off days, bad spells, good spells and today we had several players with off days yet managed to have slightly more posession than Rangers did and could have been a goal or two up after 20 mins if had a goal scorer. disappointing result but still not a team in the league that we should fear.
  12. Today
  13. Frustrating to say the least. Another game that if we had a goalscorer we may have hit 4. to be fair to rangers they looked better than I expected and also looked like scoring. Both keepers kept them in the game. Ward I thought was excellent. We just need to beat Celtic and then St Mirren….. that’s all.
  14. I think we will be too (in the mix for a top six finish). But this season and this team has all the look of “so near, yet so far” about them. We won’t get any ‘big’ results like winning today or against Celtic on Tuesday. We saw it the last time we played them at Parkhead in October, 2-1 up yet lost 2-3 in stoppage time. The same with being 3-0 up at Tynecastle in August and clinging on to a 3-3 at the end. We’re a good side, but frustratingly not quite good enough.
  15. I thought it was a penalty om assuming VAR had a look? Why else would he go down in that position.
  16. All very true but I wouldn't lose sleep over this result. It was always extremely likely and Rangers will finish the season well clear of us. The bottom line is that we just weren't good enough. Our lack of clinical finishers is costing us dearly but everyone knows that. I'm stil very hopeful that we'll be in the mix for a top 6 finish. Tuesday evening again is a free hit. Next Saturday is more important.
  17. Would like to see that Fadinger penalty claim again as it looked like there was contact.
  18. Can the Ox play centre-forward? He won’t need to use his knackered hand(s).
  19. Always bittersweet when the keeper gets motm because it's would suggest we took a battering. Far from it. He and Mcginn were excellent today.
  20. Yep! Ward had his best game for us.
  21. Everyone knows we are hopeless up front, Hendry and AP are brutal, stating the blatantly obvious ie if you dont score you wont win any games. I assume JBA knows this as well so i hope we have targets identified to come in during the January window. That said, we are 2 points off 3rd and have just had our only defeat in the last 11 games i think, so we are in a good position. A good transfer window to give us more firepower up front and we can kick on and secure a top 6 finish.
  22. Nothing between the teams. As mentioned, left back to challenge Longelo for his starting place. and goal scorer needed amd we can still be in the mix come the end of the season. just have to beat the other half of the uglies on Tuesday.
  23. That’s another sore one in a season of sore ones. Our glaring weaknesses were exposed yet again. We can’t score goals when it really matters and we can’t shut teams down when they are on top of us.
  24. Difficult place to go. Didn't take our chances first half. Decent performance though and had more possession which is incredibly rare at Ibrox. They took their chance when it came. Not a lot on it
  25. Even if you combined AP, Hendry and Osong they would struggle to make the grade. It cant continue. Play cooke through middle until we bring someone in.
  26. Good first 20mins. Had to take the chances. Said and Longelo not good enough defensively. Sloppy start to 2nd half really cost us. Hendry is not good enough full stop. Sterling handball, Fernandez on Sparrow and Fadinger at the end would all have been penalties in our box. I think we are 2 or 3 good signings away from a strong fibish to the season. LB, ST and another midfield option.
