One advantage of our high possession stats is the lack of opportunity for VAR involvement. Obviously kicks in when there is a goal scored, but otherwise it helps keep the incompetents at arm's length.
-
Good job you're not our current manager who likes the environment to be a "safe space" (to use KBA's own words) where players aren't afraid to make mistakes.

Well if Stephen Walsh runs across the goal line to slap a certain goal bound ball away with the palm of his hand, let's hope John Beaton makes the same honest mistake he made at Ibrox against Livingston. These things swing in roundabouts after all. đ
-
Steven McLean the referee for this one and John Beaton on VAR. A pre-made excuse for the dribbling dafties and conspiracy theorists. âBrother Beaton would never have given that decision if it was up the other endâ etc

Aye. An uncharacteristic miss from The Cobra. Gordons save from Moult in the 2017 League Cup Final is up there. Not really a miss as such, as it was good hit/save, but if it had gone in, it could well have changed the dynamic of that game.
-
Coyne away in Dortmund is the sorest striker miss that immediately comes to mind.
-
Every player makes mistakes. It's just that when you're a keeper, they lead to goals more often. When you're a Moult or a Higdon, your mistakes also cost goals at the other end, but people tend to forget those.
-
Also add the cup tie in 1995 when for first time in his career he raced off his line by about 20 yards and got chipped

Iâll never forgive Woods for that Rangers mistake. It was ridiculous and unavoidable at so many levels.

Two of my Favourite Stevie Woods efforts Playing at Home to Killie in a relegation battle . Their keeper boots it long, Phillibin (I think ) sees it going long leaves it for the Keeper Woods comes out the ball bounces between them goes over Stevie's head into the net. Another in our relegation struggles in the dying minutes, he goes to boot the ball long and belts it off Billy Dodds arse and the ball ends up in the net ... And the Rangers one is stuff of legend. -
No he was signed a week after Kettlewell had resigned as cover for Balcombe.
-
Could see this coming. Their constant ads on the radio have ceased coupled by the radio silence on the castle "restoration" .
-
For someone who predicts that we will get beat most weeks, I find this kind of positivity quite refreshing! đđđ
-
Did he sign Ward too? He's turned out at the least a good signing

Itâs easy to see why Craigan was part of the team that had our worst run against Rangers with that attitude. âWe used to go to Ibrox scaredâ? Come on to f@@k. Whatever happens on Wednesday night there is no way that JBA will allow any of the players to go into the game with that nonsensical attitude.
-
Seeing the draw only reinforces my belief that St.Mirren will go all the way. One of the OF wonât be in the Semis, Hearts and Hibs are already gone, ourselves or Aberdeen wonât be there and they have a perfect draw which they will almost certainly win, so thatâs them in the Semis Finals. As for us, if we get past Aberdeen then thatâs a tough one. Weâve fallen to Championship sides away from home twice in the past few years and Dunfermline will rightly fancy themselves in that tie with a big home crowd and Neil Lennon knows how to win big games. I think itâll be academic anyway as I donât think weâll beat Aberdeen.

Thatâs nice to know dear. But I care. Okay? Artichoke. Cholmondeley. Pedigree CHUM. I care.

Thor Just and Said to run riot! But only a one nil to the well

I can`t remember the Gardiner fcuk up, but I certainly remember Woods gifting Rangers a late Scottish Cup equaliser at Fir Park, which took the tie back to Greyskull which they won.
-
Not even close for me, In fact, while Woods wasn't great, I still think he wasn't as bad as some people make him out to be. The fact that multiple managers stuck with him tends to support that.

Not for me , for the simple reason we tumbled to Gardiner after 3 seasons and 78 games. Calamity Woods was with us for 9 years and double the amount of games and most certainly double the amount of fuck ups. -

In the first half Dundee played very similar to the way we do playing out from the back and they nulified Celtic. For some strange reason with 20 mins to go their keeper kept booting it long and not once did it result in Dundee having possession so Celtic just kept coming at them wave after wave. -

It wouldn't surprise me. You don't need to be good to win a cup as both Aberdeen and St Mirren have proved.
