  2. 100% We can’t afford to lose Watt & Just, one would be bad enough but both along with Slattery would decimate our midfield. Losing one of them would be difficult enough but both is out of the question - I hope. If possible I’d like to keep Watt & Just until the European ties are done at the very least giving us time to bed in any replacements alongside Priestman if need be.
  3. Today
  4. When we hired JBA we mentioned how many young players he gave their debut, but my guess is the analytics are more around how his teams play, i.e. possession, formations, tactics and the like. This is more about the higher level clubs, but is pretty interesting: https://www.espn.com/soccer/story/_/id/48758776/want-hire-next-jurgen-klopp-how-data-help-clubs-pick-manager
  5. We've been told that the hunt for our new manager (and players) will involve analytics. What exactly is this? Without wishing to know the fine details, presumably its a program/method that matches our requirements i.e open expansive football; run on a tight budget; squad size; level of ambition etc to the skillsets, personality and achievements of individuals. Does anyone know a wee bit more about this?
  6. Scotland's Coefficient on Facebook says...
  7. I was always impressed by him. Very knowledgeable, well spoken and polite. Avuncular in fact. However some years ago, he point blank refused to condemn sectarianism at Parkhead, when put on the spot. That did it for me and his latest comments just reinforce my opinion of him.
  8. O’Neill has always been a nasty piece of work. Don’t let his doddery auld man act fool you, he has always been able to appeal to the worst element of Celtic’s support. He did it years ago when he was there first time around and he is doing it again with his comments about the penalty against us and the behaviour of their support last week. Deflect, deny and lie through your teeth. That is the Glasgow Celtic way and O’Neill is an absolute master of it all.
  9. Im here too had a bit of respect for him but his comments and behaviour lately have left me feeling that he himself is just a grown up ned.
  10. Yes but same still applies re my comments above. If we’d invaded and ref had done same as in the Celtic hearts game then no pen Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I ignored what you did there 😂
  12. I see what you did there 🤣 On the subject of new manager I can confidently predict it won't be Lenny
  13. Maswanhise to Anderlecht noise again. If we got £3m I’d be ok with that. Tough to replace but he’s been poor to an extent since February. I’d be less annoyed losing him than Watt/Just.
  14. Yes, you’re probably right. In as much that when Beaton blows the whistle for Celtic player to take the kick, that restarts the game after VAR stoppage and they don’t stop the clock once the player scores so the 20 seconds times out.
  15. If the match is approaching full time and there is a penalty awarded or Var check for a penalty the game time is extended until that process is complete ie Var check over or penalty taken and the ball stops moving ie hitting the net or crossbar, crowd etc at that moment if its over the alloted added time if any the game is over. So as much ad it pains me to say, Beaton actually got that part correct, as the game was over when the ball hit the net so before the pitch invasion.
  16. Well, that’s the final Done. Hibs will be happy.
  17. I honestly have no idea who I want to take us forward I kinda like how one day I will get the notification and be like who the fek is this lol. I am shocked nobody has said Neil Lennon yet!
  18. 20 Seconds left to play that we never got a chance to play. It went to VAR so we should have had a chance to play those 20 seconds. easy way out just to say he blew for full time.
  19. I reckon the club have known jens was off at least a month ago and the contract with tolouse was more or less agreed and a shorlist drawn up and with jens having a input into that shortlist, just my opinion.
  20. I hope the club carry on in the same way for the next manager as they did when they brought in Wimmer and JBA, fresh ideas and methods, and aligning with the boards views on taking the club forward etc. As we have seen in recent years appointing someone from the Scottish failed managers merry go round only results in eye bleeding football and dissapointment.
  21. Still don't want McGlynn. No doubt he's done a great job with the Falkirk team in the past few years, but I'm not convinced he's the right man to drive the entire club forward. I could be miles out, of course, as I'm not as familiar with the running of Falkirk. I agree he'd be a great choice for next national team manager.
  22. Not got any problems with McGlynn but I’d rather have him as the next Scotland manager.
  23. I wouldnt be averse to john mcglynn , we coukd probably give him better wsge and budget
  24. I’m glad our club think outside the box. St Johnstone benefited from a stronger budget than most in what was the worst championship in years. They were no great shakes having seen them in the flesh and on BBC. Losing their stand out certainly ain’t the foundations to emulate what other promoted sides have achieved.
  25. The penalty was awarded with 20 seconds or so to play. So if our fans had invaded the park just before that to celebrate the draw… the ref don’t get chance to blow for time Ip and the game gets called… that pen never gets awarded…. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  26. Except we are not allowed to do that but maybe that’s your point? Change the rules to allow that.
