  1. Past hour
  2. Sometimes perception and facts just don’t match up.
  3. Stam's actual stats in a Motherwell shirt for league games are 21 (9) 11 Not really that bad. All his goals last season came from open play and penalties still need to be scored. He has missed chances but strikers will always miss chances. You'd like him to be scoring more, especially this season but I do think there is something in the style of play argument. And again 11 goals off 21 starts is really not that bad.
  4. I wouldn't go crazy with letting folk go, since there will still be injuries and suspensions to deal with, and possible sales. As such, i reckon the likes of Halliday and Balmer will be on a one in one out basis. Ross seems a stick on for a loan move, and if Sule gets fit I can see us sending Osong back (if we're allowed to). I fully expect Welsh to be gone as well, assuming its allowed in the loan deal (it usually is). We won't cut loose players while theyre still injured. The long-termers are all supposed to be back around the turn of the year, so hopefully they can get fit enough to go on loan somewhere and get in the window for their next move. Stuparevic to Raith would seem a good call since Imrie is there. In top of all that, there will surely be interest in a few of our players, maybe even from the clubs we're challenging in the top half.
  5. Today
  6. I can see Halliday and balmer heading out on loan. As for the others, most are all injured and under contract unfortunately
  7. Thinking about it we have 9 players who are either injured or not being used. Oxborough, McGhee, Halliday, Robinson, Sule, Stuparevic, Nicholson, Wells, Balmer Then add bit part involvement in Osong and Ross. Thats 11 players who could easily be replaced. Thats alot of wasted wages and does it impact our January dealings? Realisticly how many of those players even make the first team, never mind our bench?
  8. SODs is a very good footballer, he always has been but he’s been under utilised by previous managers. Kettlewell being a prime example with his, get the ball up the park quick p1sh and getting him to do his long throw ins. he’s very good on the ball and a good passer. He also is pretty handy getting forward and adds height to the attack and defense at corners. He’s clearly liking what he’s being told to do by JBA. Long may it last
  9. Just my take, but in the first half, when we had the ball at the back, Livi left more midfielders in forward positions to cut down the space that Watt and Fadniger usually have to play in to bring the ball out. took us until probably Priestman coming on to deal with it.
  10. If you look at the "in detail stats" on the BBC site, a lot of the Livi markers are close to ours. However the ones that win the games were in our favour. I think that's maybe what he's getting at. We were comfortable winners and Ward having an outstanding save will do his confidence no harm. No failures but best for me were McGinn , SOD and Koutroumbis. Fadinger , Watt and Slattery did a good job but the defenders shade it for me, utterly composed and stuck to our play out from the back ethos. I still think Livi are a better footballing side than Dundee , Kilmarnock and St Mirren and apart from against us I'd like to see them get a wee rub of the green. Had a fiver on us at 14/1 to win 3-0, but shat out it and cashed out at £57.
  11. Not at our best today, especially in the first half where there were many misplaced passes and poor decisions being made. The second half was an improvement, and by the hour mark the team looked mire assured and managed the game very well. The 3rd goal was a peach and there could / should have been more. I think that this team has the potential to make this a very memorable season. We just need to find a cutting edge up top to make a real challenge.
  12. Has to be SOD today. So calm under pressure with the ball at his feet. Slide rule passes all day. What a difference from the player that we were watching last season.
  13. I can’t recall a time when we could make as many changes as JBA and still produce results. A Luxury we’ve never had.
  14. Although I will give AP credit for his PKs. He exudes confidence, doesn’t Fanny about and has mixed them up.
  15. I have to say I was impressed today with him, a key save at 1-0 and great save late on to preserve clean sheet
  16. Again, looks like the boss knows what he's doing
  17. Spot on, and to avoid any confusion the one Stamatelopoulos missed and the one Hendry missed were as well were both sittters.
  18. And that's with a shite goalie as well.🤣
  19. Yes, it’s great but think where we could be if we had Jack Ross or Malky! 😂😂😂
  20. Martindale is right other than... 3 goals to better 60/40 possession 7/1 shots on target 540 v/s 392 passes but other than that it was very close It's weird watching us and having such a level of certainty by 60 mins that we'll win the game. Our game management has come on leaps and bounds.
  21. You’re still on track Ally 😀
  22. I’ve ran out of emojis for today. Can we get a bigger emoji allowance?
  23. Especially when you consider the number of games in the last few weeks. It’s a lot of Money and time.
  24. Koutroumbis outstanding and Longelo now knows he has competition in that area. Ward, watt, mcginn all good but I went for SOD, never stopped running and didnt waste many passes
  25. That's a lot more recent than when we were watching in the 1990's! Still impressive, though, after our defensive lapses earlier in the season,
  26. It's 4.........hibs. Hearts Falkirk. Livi
