I see that the rising East Kilbride have quite a few ex Well players on their books. Matty Connelly (on loan) David Ferguson Adam Livingston Jack Leitch Broque Watson
-
Sensational form from Mika Biereth Arsenal made a mistake I think letting him go
-
Hopeful of getting at least a point today. But there is no doubt Ross County will be fired up for this so gonna have to be up for it Have fun in the sun anyone travelling up today , win lose or draw
-
Mika Biereth is the most prolific goal scorer in Europe at the moment, pity we never got to see him at Fir park longer, thanks to Charles Dunne https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c8d19961m33o

The point re Slattery is he's one of the few players whom another club would pay a fee for. Current position (excl Miller) we don't have too many of those. I'm sure we'd all prefer he stay. The point for me is all Motherwell players will have price tag and should we be offered the right money we would sell. As we did for KVV, Bair and many that came before them, as long as we the price was right. In recent years we've been so much better in not giving it away. The huge positive in all of this is we stood by the player during his injury and in turn he signed another contract. Add to that he's been on top form and attracted this type of discussion. What a difference playing in a more forward position, he's gone from the most booked player to potential top scorer.

3-0 defeat to end the season.

Mrs French ? Can’t remember her.

If he was replaceable we should have done that when he was out for a year.
-
Regardless of the Miller situation, Slattery is no different from any other Motherwell player. - a suitable bid comes in he will be off. He has done well the last few months and on current form a key player for ud moving on, but lets not kid ourselves that he's not replaceable.
-
If fans are paying full price to watch you, you need to be giving 100% I'm hopeful Wimmer will have the team motivated with nothing less in mind.

Going by MW's comments, there won't be much experimentation as he's already made up his mind about our departure list. Johnny Koutroumbis is available once again after suspension. The likes of McGinn and Gordon won't be risked and rightly so. I'd bench Lennon Miller for safety's sake and perhaps open with Armstrong up front, maybe with one other. We don't want any late and serious injuries, that carry over into pre season. Ross County will be up for this and its hard to see them not picking up the 3 points as we may be on the beach. If Dundee beat St Johnstone, which I fully expect them to, then County's efforts will be completely in vain. From that perspective, it would be beneficial for us if Dundee opened up an early and commanding lead. I'll be thinking about our travelling support and hope they have something to cheer in the far north.

2 up front tomorrow..? Actually thought Ebiye showed some nice touches when he came on midweek, and Armstrong certainly deserves another crack at it. Be intersesting to see how we line up anyhow.

Dropped it after second year, can’t remember the teachers

What did she teach? That was my time at school. I would understand if you can’t share the name.

Thanks for stating the facts. And that appearance record includes a spell when the then Manager opted to leave him out, even when fit. The ACL injury is something interested Clubs will keep an eye on though so I guess January will be the window for offers if he is a regular until then.
-
You don't have to gatekeep on every single Slattery post
-
He played 31 games in his first season and 29 in his second. To be fair as well the ACL injury was a freak one. He's had no other injuries since signing for us as far as I'm aware.
-
Based on current form, and if Miller leaves, Slattery will be our most important/valuable asset. We should look after that.
-
I agree that selling Slattery this close season would be far from ideal. Especially as we are resigned to losing Miller. However, we are a selling club and we cant dictate when another club will come in for our best players. Its kinda stating the obvious. But the club will have a valuation for all our players where we say, ok, on you go son, and it will be weighed up against the potential value of keeping them vs the risk of injury. Personally, Id be looking at extending Slattery now to protect ourselves. He may not sign, but given we looked after him through a career threatening injury, he might. As long as there is a release clause if a bigger club comes calling. That way everyone is happy.

Slattery has a really bad injury record since arriving at us, I can’t see a team buying him until they see that he can go a full season without a spell on the sidelines. id be really surprised if any team would be willing to take a punt on him right now. id hope he gets a good pre season, stays clear of injury and has an excellent season with us. If he goes at the end of it, even as a free agent, then good luck to him.

That's always true, but has to offset against the value he generates if he stays. An extra round in the cup plus a couple of league positions is worth a few bob. Not an exact science, and carries an element of risk. Plus, you can't afford to keep selling your best players unless you want another battle for 11th spot.

I agree and if, by some miracle, a club offered £500k - £1m for him then I'd say "sell".
