  1. Past hour
  2. Don't see any way round it if a manager and players do well...dont think players let their fitness drop the way they did in the past
  3. Looks a good signing, wonder if this was an AJ signing or scouted by Daws
  4. I thought he was Austrian? 🤪🤪
  5. Happy with this signing. A much needed central defender who matches our style of play. Welcome to Fir Park Martin.
  6. Today
  7. That’s our Welsh replacement and his stats look good. https://x.com/analysingtsp/status/2072799601145344063?s=46
  8. There's your Martin Moorman announced. https://www.motherwellfc.co.uk/2026/07/03/welcoming-martin-moormann-to-ml1/
  9. Honestly think it'll be Monday before we here about any incomings as thats when the team are back from Denmark Keeping in mind by this point last season ie the twente game we had a very different lineup then to what we did have come the start of the season Link here for the squad if anyone interested https://www.sofascore.com/football/match/fc-twente-motherwell/WWsfjb#tab:lineups
  10. Replacement solutions for Slattery and Welsh should have been lined up weeks ago. If not, we’re heading into the Conference League qualifiers half-cocked. With McGinn now injured and Gordon choosing to go elsewhere, the immediate priorities have to be two centre-backs and a creative midfielder. And that’s before even considering the possibility of losing and replacing Just, Maswanhise and Watt.
  11. The issue we face now is not so much sourcing replacements as bringing in match fit players. We have our first Conference League game in just under 3 weeks and our first league game in about 4. How fit will will our newcomers be without a pre season with us? How long will it take them to get up speed? Thats been our issue many times before and was always going to be our issue this time round.
  12. That's one of the pitfalls of telling everyone we are a selling club. As last season we had an exceptional manager and some excellent players. The model is we sell them, make money ,replace them and start again. It will always be thus.
  13. Honestly thought Randolph was miles better
  14. If we lose Watt , Just and TW it could be a challenging period ahead . Very different to the team without McGinn, Welsh , Slattery and then these 3 top players. For a new manager replacing our best manager in donkeys years it’s an uphill challenge . Ideally sort the outgoings and incomings at a decent lick
  15. Yesterday
  16. Good shout. In retrospect I should have included him somewhere, probably in the 70-100 range. The fact that he didn't earn any caps may have counted against him.
  17. I wouldn't include Ruddy because he was only ever on loan.
  18. A conundrum for me. I eventually went with Randolph but it was very close. Two very different keepers. Ruddy's best was better than Randolph's but his worst was worse than Randolph's. Randolph was the steadier.
  19. Totally agree that it would be a strange move, their head coach is German, most of their coaches are Turkish, they have no British or Irish players so I’d assume there’s a bit of a language barrier with the squad, money talks though.
  20. I have no inside info whatsoever, but this seems a peculiar move, if true. I'd be looking for somewhere between £2m and £3.5m for him.
  21. A rumour, a rumour, we have a rumour! At last something to look into Also hearing that Watt has agreed personal terms with Samsunspor so it’s now down to the clubs to agree the fee.
  22. You need to have mid range strips to appreciate the belters or some other nonsensical bollox, new strip is ok, not dreadful but not the untouchables kit.
  23. Motherwell interested in Austrian defender Martin Moormann

  25. I tend to think about the headline figure rather than how the deal is broken down, as its hard to compare like for like otherwise. Ive no idea how the Lennon Miller deal breaks down, but we are led to believe the headline figure is around the £4.5m mark. Whether thats in total or including add ons I have no idea. But its a useful guide to start with when valuing Just. FWIW, I dont think Just is worth anywhere near what Raskin or Engels are worth purely based on the wages they currently earn and how that factors into transfer fees. (Despite the fact that he had a better season than both last year.) But you would think Just is on at least the same, if not more than Miller was, so thats a fair comparison. I guess only the club know exactly what the Miller deal is worth and therefore will be best placed to put a valuation on Just. I totally accept we cannot stand in the players way when we sell ourselves as a club that provides players a platform to progress their careers, but he still has 2+1 years on his deal and we are a long way past the point where we bend over as a club at the first offer. In short, I think £3.5m plus add ons is the minimum we should be looking for and probably the starting point for negotiations. I would hope to be pushing it towards the £5m mark. Anything short of that they clubs should be told to jog on.
  26. I can't be the only one checking in here more for incomings.. ?
  27. It depends, really. From your post, and you can correct me if I'm wrong, it sounded like you thought we should be getting £4.5m cash as a basic fee. I figure we're likely to get around £3.5m as a basic fee, maybe a little more if there are more than a few teams interested and he's happy to go to either. If there's one particular team that he's really keen on, and they're offering £3.5m basic fee, and are open to add-ons as I detailed above, I'd take that. would you?
  28. I guess this is where we have to trust Nick Dawes and his data, unless of course Alfred already has a replacement in mind......
