  1. An entertaining game and we more than deserved our point. Hopefully a springboard to move up the table. In the first half both sides lost goals to poor defending. Bigi's free kick for McHugh's goal was sublime. We looked good going forward and could have scored more. The midfield supplied the strikers with ammunition for once and we looked good. In defence however the midfield sat far too deep and gave Rangers too much space and time; especially to sling in crosses. The central defence and wing backs didn't cover themsleves in glory and looked a bit disorganised. We badly missed the pace and presence of Dunne and Kipre. The central defensive partnership of McHugh, Aldred and Hartley should only be an emergency stop gap. In the second half we dominated, sorry Sportsound, and took the game to Rangers, who defended shakily at times. We showed a never say die attitude against a big Rangers side who certainly did not allow us to bully them, as Gerrard promised pre match. Thanks to Bigi and co we showed more creativity and the equalising goal in the final seconds was no less than we deserved. Its ironic it was Hartley who scored. Bigi had decent game overall and was my MOTM but his corner kick taking was bit erratic and he needs muscle around him. Overall though our best performance of the season. Yes, there are still some weaknesses, especially in midfield and defence that need to be rectified but we are improving. Curtis Main is starting to show some form and the likes of Campbell and Johnson are gradually getting fitter, although both looked knackered today. Still not convinved of Chris Cadden at RWB though. Craig Thomson had an absolute shocker from start to finish and his officiating was riddled with inconsistency. As others have said Morelos and Lafferty ought to have been yellow carded for persistent diving; the Rangers player who launched the ball out of the ground after they scored should have joined them. A couple of their players lifted their hands and got off with it. Most ludicrous decision though was penalising Elliot Frear after he had skinned the defender, who tried to pull him back, and was racing into the box. I could go on but think thats sufficient. His performance shouldn't overshadow ours. Well done to the management and players. Good, but its work in progress. Still the team has spirit and character about it and that will be important.

  2. The snowflakes are alive and well within the Motherwell support I see... ...if this was any other team (bar Celtic), we wouldn't be having this bullshit, from an off-the-cuff quip. Rangers have turned into a Club who love to be offended, they love to be the victim, they love to have a reason to say 'see, everybody hates us'...fuck them. The media latch onto this, and before we know it we're putting out grovelling apologies to a Club whose fans have got themselves into bother umpteen times already this season, fighting and coming off second best at home and abroad...this is a Club that condones, by continually turning a blind eye to the 'special atmosphere' created home and away, glorifying in the death and destruction of all things Catholicism. This is a Club, that along with the other cunts from the East End, have consistently bled the Scottish Leagues dry, and we're apologising to them because our captain said that he laughed at the way Cardoso moaned about a broken nose? A broken fucking nose, not a life-threatening injury, not a leg-break or a decapitation...a broken nose, and while the way he put it across was clumsy, its been blown out of all proportion by the victims from Ibrox and their self-serving pals in the media, meanwhile we've got Motherwell fans wringing their hands and worrying about, what the rest of Scottish fitba' thinks of us...I've got news for you, they think we are a team of cloggers and thats down to our style of play and whether Hartley said that or not, they would still think that this morning...our fans are worrying about Steven Gerrards team talk, c'mon tae fuck really? If he needs Peter Hartley to get his team wound up and up for it, then hes in a bit of bother...our fans are worrying about the referees take on it, but its Craig Thompson and he'll fuck us over whatever the fuck we say or do, we could send the physio in to give him a massage with a happy ending before the match and he'll still give these cunts everything on Sunday. I've heard others ask, 'but what if the roles were reversed and it was a Rangers player laughing at our player for being a big fucking lassie'...my answer to that, 'the compliance officer would be giving not one single fuck'.

  3. Totally in agreement about Andy Rose Didnt seem to do much today but if anyone’s taped the game have a look and see how may times he breaks play up and wins headers Someone has to be in the team for the dirty unglamorous work and Rose seems to have this down to a tee and goes under the radar to a lot of people

  4. Excellent on many levels today, perfect no, but night and day from the Hamilton game. Carson should do better at the third goal and there seemed a lack of communication between him and his central defenders at the second, they were also able to swing a lot of crosses in unopposed. Middle of the park going forward though was much improved, we created plenty of chances by playing decent football and whilst it is disappointing to hold the lead twice and not win, a last minute jump about is a great way to end the game, and a point was the least we deserved. As to Mister Thompson, somebody said he had a good game, but I can only assume good is used as a relevant term, i.e. good compared to last year, how Lafferty and Morelos got through that game unspoken to, let alone unbooked, is a mystery of Detective Rebus proportions. And how he could book Hartley (correctly) for dribbling the ball away after conceding a freekick, then, about 60 seconds later, ignore their number 6 launching the ball 60 yards up field to prevent us taking a quick throw in would be laughable if it wasn't typical of Scottish refereeing standards.

  5. Another truly awful performance from Thomson. So much inconsistency on his decisions. How Lafferty never got booked after diving, time wasting and fouling is a complete mystery.

  6. The key to dealing with crossess is don't let your opponent cross the ball. We don't have many players doing that.

  7. An expression of religious and civil liberty? I, as many, will have seen orange parades taking place in Motherwell. The dregs of society following the March, never cease to amaze, its like the night of the living dead. This element of Scottish society is the last bastion of the “Rule Britannia” brigade. It has in contemporary culture, as is well researched and documented, little to do with religion, than it does with a demographic graphic so disengaged and disenfranchised through direct and indirect action, that it clings for the safety of a group whereby they are no longer the marginalized but rather have the ability, for a short time, to marginalize others. So, yes I stand by my point that anyone prepared to celebrate Irish religious wars and killings (on either side of this divide) for the purpose of momentary groupthink, should be flushed out - there should be no place for this in modern civil society, in 2018, Scotland. But hey ho, my and my ignorance eh?

  8. I'm in the middle of some of the more extreme opinions. Thought he had a very poor game and didn't pick up on so so many little things which all together was very frustraying. Yet, he didn't really get any major calls wrongly...luckily.

  9. Agreed, could be just as good a find as Moult.

  10. Maybe McCulloch and McFadden know that, to keep a job in the media in Scotland, you need to tow the party line: either praise the Old Firm when they win or look to find a distraction/excuse/justification when they lose.

  11. A really fair point. Considering the number of decisions that had to be made, I think he's had a decent one if all we've got to grumble about is a bit of inconsistency around time wasting.

  12. Delighted Bigi is showing why we brought him in. Even more delighted that Robinson is starting him.

  13. Not all substitution are tactical. Campbell and Johnson were absolutely burst and needed to come off.

  14. What a fantastic game and at 3-2 I (along with many others) were prepared to clap the team off the park. Hartley scoring with the last kick of the ball is absolute poetry. I thought we were excellent going forward and more than matched Rangers for the 90. Astonished to turn the radio to hear faddy claiming Rangers were dominant and we were lucky to get a point.

  15. Hartley. Not even close to being the best player on the pitch, but Bigi's already deservedly miles clear, so Pete gets my "Man of the Match" purely for the seethe-inducing glory of that memorable last kick equaliser.

  20. We deserved at least a point ........ I finally got to start watching live stream at 2-1 motherwell. Once I discovered you had to click on "Match" hidden up in the left corner it worked pretty well. A draw is just way better than a gallant defeat. Well done lads. thought we were going to get horsed today but in the end a deserved point.

  22. its not about keeping journalists happy. I just don't like the way we are portraying ourselves at times. Maybe I am just too nice a guy (with honking jokes) but I would rather we are seen as a good footballing and family club
