I am almost NEVER right so I am going to take this opportunity to pretend I know what I am talking about. I am also going to take the opportunity of a great result to make a couple of points about some negative comments over this last month. 1. 'We are favourites to be relegated' We were no more favourites to be relegated in 12 place after 7 games than we are to favourites to finish 8th now after 8 games. We should try looking at the bigger picture. 2. 'Robinson should be sacked now because after Hibs and Aberdeen beat us we will only have 4pts.' Let's try to make statements about sacking managers based on the facts of what has happened, rather than negative speculation of what might. 3. 'Motherwell were not really 3rd last season because Aberdeen would have finished 3rd' Can we be absolutely certain about that based on today's result? They might have but like point 2, I would rather base judgement on the fact that Motherwell did finish third, rather than that Aberdeen may have in some mythical end to the season. Great result today. Let's give our team the benifits of the doubt and give them some proper backing.3 points

One of the things I really liked today was how we closed them down quickly and didn’t give them a minute’s peace, from front to back, from start to finish, and from all over the team. Great stuff3 points

No coincidence that both those teams are more attacking - especially at home. Where we struggle is when teams come and sit in - which tends to be the "weaker" sides.3 points

Good performance played like a team defended well and had an attacking threat3 points

Because it signifies that he's recovered from a bad head knock. He took a sore one but soldiered on when he possibly shouldn't have done. Whatever else he's a trier. Given what happened to Carl McHugh, I'm just glad he's ok.2 points

At least he can count on SFWA Young Player of the Year David Turnbull, Scotland international Chris Cadden, English Premiership target James Scott, financially set for life Jake Hastie and Motherwell's best player Allan Campbell for support.2 points

Campbell really is at the top of his game just now, head and shoulders above everyone in that Aberdeen midfield today. Mentions for Watt and Long, the latter looking the part again while Watt has put in a power of work between Thursday and today.1 point

See, this is what happens when I decide I'm going out fishing for the day and not staying in to watch footie. If anyone wants to chip in for permits for Thursday night, I'm open to offers.1 point

Well that great result v Aberdeen away will probably remove any complacency the Israeli side may have had. They probably will have heard of Aberdeen and not Motherwell so for us to win 3-0 away will make them sit up and notice. Was always going to be a tough ask but hopefully it gives our players a good boost ahead of the trip to Tel Aviv.1 point

Might be mistaken but I'm sure redtv and the PPV website are two separate things? I'm watching it through https://ppv.afc.co.uk/1 point

It’s a difficult balance granted, can you give the “they’re not good enough” mantra a break as it’s simply not the case. Mixed messages form coaching department are in play too. Reserve matches may not give the full picture as much as loaning our prospects isn’t always the answer. Whilst good to see them get game time, their development depends on the structure of the loan and being at a suited club as much as the players’ application . Taking Jamie Semple as an example, Cove Rangers walked their league, given their backing and ambitions are expected to do similar this year - involved as the team are rarely on the backfoot doesn’t suggest a player will return to us game ready, but, playing against some experience is key?1 point

It would seem from this topic and previous posts about the Academy that the model is only successful if every player signed results in a sale and there has to be an Academy player first team ready to slot in as and when required. That is some bar you're setting Grizzly!1 point
