  1. He's our best midfielder in my opinion.

  2. Shaw is probably better than him...but then again , unless you have saw him playing elsewhere , you would never know. Why bring him in from Celtic and not play him.... The more you look into the gaffers selections and tactics , the more baffling it becomes... Maybe now that he has got his new contract , he is trying to get himself sacked....selections and tactics would back this up....maybe he has had enough and doesn’t know how to turn it around ala Robinson.....so just put out a side with 6 defenders , 1 young inexperienced midfielder , and 3 forwards , 2 of whom have no presence , can’t hold the ball up or win headers...... sorted ... Oh , and wait till about 25 to go ..have a good chit chat about how to change it for 15 mins , so that when the changes are made , they have no time to do anything.... The more you look at it , the more it all falls into place..

  3. Seems like we come back worse after international breaks. So on the bright side I am not sure that is possible this time.

  5. To be fair, since January, GA has rededicated his tactics to playing without a midfield anyway so it doesn't really matter who we put in there. Peak Viera, Scholes and Gerrard wouldn't be able to do anything when all they have to work from is a punt from defence to Van Veens head, hoping that who ever is selected from Woolery or Roberts can run onto the second ball......

  7. There is no question that Alexander has to go. I feel insulted by his team picks, tactics. He has also obviously attended one of Mark McGhee’s arrogance work shops. What about Alan Burrows. It’s very well being a fan and going from tea boy to the top but In any CEO job you have to be decisive and lead from the top. Communication to the staff and to the fans is vital, especially when things are not going to plan to prevent gossip and inaccuracies spreading throughout the club. It’s not the players job to question the managers tactics it’s Mr Burrows job. The Motherwell family ethos is in danger and I am embarrassed at the way some players have been treated. Liam Grimshaw is an example. It’s disgraceful. As fans we do not want to have to protest outside the main stand because it causes a toxic atmosphere and it’s not our job to make it easier for Alan Burrows to sack him. Alan be a leader and stop this now. If not then milk and 2 sugars please.

  8. It feels very similar to the Maurice Malpas season . Is there anyone out there who can say this season has been an enjoyable watch. Any results we’ve had have been grounded out which is fine when your going through a rough patch but it has been like this for the whole season.I can see people staying away from the remaining games but the real danger is that the fans are not getting entertained and this will have an impact on ST sales . There’s a few people I’ve spoke to who won’t be renewing to watch the same again next season . Will I renew ? Not so sure now tbh as not enjoying it at all . As I said earlier same kind of feeling we had when Malpas was in charge . Seriously how the board are watching this closely and act before it’s too late . Tbh I have trust in the board and would be surprised if there not watching the events carefully . If we get beat at home in the next game I’ve got a feeling the fans patience will finally runout . That’s never a nice scenario but can see it happening with the call for Alexander to go

  9. I'm not saying that our players are world beaters but a good start would be to pick a formation that utilises the strengths of our best starting eleven, whatever that may be. The current formation(s) only highlight our squad's limitations.

  10. You never know what goes on in a dressing room, there are players that cause problems and managers deal with them in different ways. One of the most over used phrases has always been “ the manager has lost the dressing room” it’s trotted out just about every time a team goes on a bad run and it’s generally based on no actually evidence. I would love Alexander to come out and say “Slattery has upset me”, but it’s never going to happen. However on a purely football level we’ve lost a full midfield and no one has a clue why. Given the results it’s totally baffling how Slattery, Goss, Tierney, and Shaw can’t get a run in the team. We’re not short of dedicated midfielders.

  11. The strangest thing is if we win both our games pre split we could be in the top 6!

  13. I think the reaction to today's defeat and GA's position is a bit OTT. I visited the normally rarified and exclusive P & B site this afternoon for the first time in a while and was shocked to see posters there in complete meltdown. Today's game was always going to be difficult and a loss was always the most likely outcome. Given that GA has just signed a new 3 year deal I can't see him going anywhere soon. Apart from that, changing managers with 7 games to go would be risky not to say very difficult. Any suggestion that Keith Lasley should take over is way off beam given his last game in charge of us. Keep the heid folks, I'm confident we can scrape together 2 or 3 points between now and the season's end to keep us at least 10th.

  14. Alexander is not getting fired. Losing from 1-0 up and not winning in 2022 is concerning though. We can't have any more excuses we need to win our next match.
