  1. The first of two consecutive away games for us. Following a good win today, despite a less than great performance I think we should be looking for at least a point from this game. Anyone see any changes to the team? McHugh has to start next weekend. He'll likely replace Murphy, and rightfully so. Jamie has looked out of sorts recently and a wee spell on the bench could do wonders for him, with him coming on for the last 20 minutes or so. I don't see McCall making any other changes to be honest, apart from maybe swapping Daley for Humphrey? I'd like to see Omar given a full 90 minutes. Anyway, I'll go with a prediction of 1-1. Higdon getting our goal.
  2. You're not talking about the supporters up the far end, are you?
  3. Can you tell me what exactly that accomplishes? I'm willing to bet that the player in question will know he's not been playing well. No, you're supposed to offer encouragement & support. That's how it's supposed to work.
  4. Well, the change worked, didn't it? Some of these characters need to put some faith in the manager sometimes. Apparently he knows a thing or two about football!
  5. When a player is playing badly he needs support from the fans, not abuse.
  6. The east stand was a fucking disgrace today. I was actually ashamed at the abuse that these twats were hurling at our own players.
  7. Just got home from the Aberdeen game, and have to say that I'm seriously getting sick & tired with the moaning-faced c*nts that sit in the east stand. I've heard the much-used "greatest fans in the world" slogan that Celtic fans like to throw around when talking about themselves, but I'm really starting to wonder if we should be branding certain sections of our support as the exact opposite. In fact, the use of the word support perhaps shouldn't apply to these people. If we look up the term in the dictionary it reads as follows; Now, entry number five is what should apply at Motherwell games, but going by recent reactions to the likes of Tim Clancy, Chris Humphrey, Stephen Craigan & Michael Higdon I think the last thing these people can call themselves is supporters. It's no secret that the last few games haven't been our best. The above-mentioned players haven't exactly been firing on all cylinders (especially Higdon & Craigan). This is where the paying punter in the crowd comes into his own, right? When the players aren't on top of their game we step in and offer support (there's that word again) and encouragement to get them back on track? Do we f*ck. If a player has the sheer audacity to play a couple of stinkers we get right on their cases. Take today, for example. The ball gets played to Higdon after 4 minutes and he chests it down, turns and misplaces a pass. Uproar from the "fans" in the middle of the east stand. The tone was set for the rest of the match right there & then. It also appears that the team have the sheer cheek to retain possession when we have the ball. If there isn't a pass on going forward they do the unthinkable and play the ball backwards, looking to reset and move forward again. A fucking disgrace! Get it lumped forward so we can all moan like fuck when Higdon either doesn't jump for it or mis-controls it after taking it down! One incident at around the 75th minute summed things up for me when Hately played the ball down the flank looking for Daley, only for the pass to get intercepted. The middle section of the east rose and fired the kind of abuse that should be reserved for a near-side throw in by Kyle Lafferty or Scott Brown. Hately turned to the crowd with a look on his face like "what the fuck?!? Aren't you guys supposed to be supporting us?!?!" If it wasn't for the boys up the far end of the stand I think the team would be hard pressed to get any support from the east. If this is how we react when we're sitting 3rd in the table, four points clear of Hearts and two behind Celtic I'd hate to see us if we were fighting relegation. Fucking disgraceful.
  8. Does anyone think that a good victory for us today could see the auld pensioners sent packing? Call me a sick man, but I'd like to see it happen
  9. Does anyone else think that by keeping the displays and such at the far end of the east stand it's limiting the amount of people who will actually be willing to get involved?
  10. I'd love to come down & join in, but the view from the far corner of the east stand is shite. I've got a seat virtually on the halfway line, and it would take a lot for me to give that up I'm afraid.
  11. I've seen a few posts talking about the quality of our defence, but it's worth remembering that we're missing two of our first choice defenders in Hutchinson & Saunders. A club of our size is always going to find it difficult to cope with that kind of loss in one area of the field.
  12. Aye, he played much better last night. It's good to see that he's reacted to the poor performance and the heckling he got on Saturday from the crowd in a positive manner. More of the same please!
  13. Let's hope it was more than a little fucking chat. The 11 players on Saturday were a disgrace to the shirt.
  14. That may be true, but can anyone tell me why he point blank refuses to jump for the ball? Is there something going on that I don't know about? Is he still injured or something? If he is, that would account for him being slower than Craigan.
  15. I don't think there's really anything else that McCall could say to be honest. We just need to put it down as one of those things and start looking towards the game on Tuesday night.
  16. I thought Law, Hammell & Murphy at least tried to make things happen. Both Higdon & Craigan were murder today.
  17. Off the back of an absolute stinker against St Johnstone we have our first home cup game this Tuesday against Hibs. What do we do going into this game? Is there changes in personnel needed? I think there is, but I seriously doubt that McCall will drop Higdon simply because we don't have a suitable replacement. Personally I'd give McHugh a run of games and see what he can do. Higdon is obviously not firing on all cylinders so it's maybe not the best idea to keep playing him. Aside from that, I can't really think of any other changes we could make. I'm not keen on Clancy thus far, but again, a lack of a suitable replacement will likely see him keep his position. Daley starting from the bench again I assume?
  18. I'm not one for kicking a man when he's down, and he has got a couple of goals for us already, but Higdon was rank rotten today. I've never seen a guy so big who refuses to jump when a high ball is played towards him. I remember saying that he appeared really slow at the start of the season, and that was explained away by him carrying an injury. Well, he better get the finger out. The fans are already turning on him it would appear.
  19. A terrible performance. Not quite sure what actually happened to be honest, we simply didn't look like the team we've been in recent non-old firm games Still, it's games like this that give the moaning c*nts on this board a chance to do their thing.
  20. William Hill is offering 2/1 on us winning the game and Murphy scoring at some point during the 90 minutes. I took that bet.
  21. I doubt I'll make that, so if anyone fancies doing a little write-up when they get home it would be much appreciated.
  22. I see we have the weather befitting a match between us and St Johnstone
  23. We probably couldn't match the wages on offer.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know what our highest paid player would be getting?
