  1. Fantastic news! I’d go as far as saying, get Butcher fit by the end of Sep (and keep both of them fit) and we’ll deffo stay up. Just a RB, LB, centre mid and centre forward before the window closes please.
  2. No doubt today, Butcher was superb!
  3. No surprise it’s the same team as last week. Strongest bench we’ve had in a long long time.
  4. What a result! Great performance and a well deserved win! 2 outstanding free kicks, and getting to sing 🎶 so f@cking easy 🎶 at Easter Road! What a day!
  5. Goss, great free kick, time on the ball, best performance in a Well shirt!
  6. Did exactly the same yesterday. It’s bizarre that some clubs Utd, Livi allow you to use an e-ticket but others are still in the dark ages.
  7. Just back from the game and encouraged we at least made a game of it at times. Better team won the game and we were a bit fortunate not to concede another couple towards the end. Slattery should have been hooked 10/15 mins before he was sent off, you knew 1 more foul against that mob and he’d be walk, but the decision itself is a joke, Cantwell kicks Slattery when he’s on the ground a few mins before it = no yellow, Slattery catches Cantwell with his arm whilst protecting the ball and the ref didn’t hesitate to get the 2nd yellow out.
  8. If this is true it’s a huge risk! Appointing someone who has never managed in Scotland, won’t know other teams players, styles or formations and with 13 games left he needs to hit the ground running. I’m scared….
  9. Hammell had VV playing wide left last weekend, was deffo not 2 up top. He only went through the middle when Obika got subbed at HT. Also, to my knowledge he only went 3 at the back at Pittodrie and O’Donnell was one of them i.e destined to fail
  10. Over the moon with that 3 points! Massive credit to Kettlewell, the back 3 and matching up against St Mirren worked a treat. Thought all 3 of them stood up really well to the physical threat from Watt and particularly Main. Was a bit shocked by St Mirren’s tactics of constant high balls! Credit to Goss and Spittal (I’d have had neither of them in the starting line up), both played well in spells and certainly much better then they’ve been.
  11. No McKinstry OR Crankshaw! Wonder if he’s going with 3 at the back in Casey, McGinn and Butcher. He said something about tweaking the shape in his interview, and St Mirren normally play with 3 at the back….
  12. Way too early to say he's shite. Ineffectual would probably be the best word to describe him so far, but as I''ve said its likely to have been a bit of a culture shock coming half way across the world to an under performing team. Needs time to settle, but should be nursed along from what I've seen.
  13. Maybe just needs some time to settle given he flew half way across the world a few weeks ago, to be dumped into an under performing team.
  14. Kelly Johnston & Furlong at FB, Casey with one of Lamie, Blaney or McGinn at CH depending on who is fit. Butcher & Cornelius in the middle of midfield with Crankshaw & McKinstry wide midfield. KVV playing off Obika Dont want to see any off the following starting O’Donnell, Goss, Slattery, Danzaki or Tierney And I still think calls to drop Kelly are crazy, despite his mistake/s on Sat.
  15. Daily Record reporting Lambert is out of the running, no great surprise given the wages he’ll have been on previously. No great lose either I don’t think. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/paul-lambert-wont-next-motherwell-29199789
  16. I seem to remember you get an extra sub each if someone goes off with concussion. Maybe Jonny Hayes.
  17. Killie getting hammered and Utd now down to ten men at Tynecastle. I’d take a boring 0-0 draw right now.
  18. Been backing Hammell all week but that line up is a million miles from I would have picked. 4 full backs?
  19. All about opinions but Kelly and Lamie are the last 2 players in the team I’d drop right now! I actually thought Lamie played ok on Wed night. Kelly not been as good as last season but he’s hardly making blunders, and we’ve no idea how good/bad Oxborough is.
  20. Exactly what we’ve been crying out for! Defensive midfielder who breaks the play up and isn’t afraid of a hard tackle or two. Pity he can’t play today but thats certainly cheered me up 🙂
  21. Agree both have been very poor lately, but unless we play our new centre half and move McGinn into midfield I just don’t think we have the options available to take both of them out. We have Cornelius (who himself hasn’t been great when he’s come in) but who else would you play in there?
  22. Kelly, Johnson, McGinn, Lamie, Furlong, Cornelius, Slattery, McKinstry, Crankshaw, Van Veen, Obika. It’s attacking but I don’t want to see Goss, and the other midfield options are all attacking also. Would have considered McGinn into holding role in midfield but with 4 defenders injured and O’Donnell I don’t think that’s an option. I’d only give KVV 45 mins with someone up close to him to see if his attitude/work rate improves and if not get him off for Aitchison/Tierney/Danzaki.
  23. My thoughts exactly. Was raging leaving Love Street on Saturday, tonight I’m just completely deflated.
  24. Really not sure where to start with that, it’s been awful in recent weeks but tonight was even worse than anything we’ve seen so far this season. I’ve been firmly in the Hammell camp but I’m now having my doubts that he can turn this around. There’s now so much wrong I don’t know where we start, utterly depressing.
