Gillespie has been better than Carson on this seasons form.

If anyone ever doubts my commitment to Motherwell Football Club, I got out of bed this morning to go to this game. Believe me, it wasn't easy.

Interestingly, brought on by sacking their manager midseason.

Wille Miller said we deserved the win, so I'll assume we did.

A win on Saturday and we are 12 points better than St Mirren with a far better goal difference and a game in hand. Given both St Mirren and Dundee have only won two games all season it would take some turn around in fortunes even this early in the season for them to overtake us. We would need to just about fail to win another game all season. Respect to all those that travelled in such terrible conditions, hope they all get home safely, it’s dreadful here in Kirkintilloch.

Howling cold wind and torrential sleat. At least I don't have shorts on.

We have been terrible at Perth for a long long time, but maybe we can use our tendency to end (other teams) bad runs and turn this one around. I’ll take any performance that gets us a point or more. I’m on strong painkillers after oral surgery, so they’ll all look like pink elephants and unicorns to me anyway.

If it's a one-way ticket, I'll chip in a tenner.
