  1. Considering the club are always announcing budget cuts and we have no money then would be interesting how we could offer him an improved deal. If he goes then I wish him all the best and we move on. Also great news for his lad as he will make his international debut in the play off!! Ba boom....COYW

  2. Sounds good, but it's also assuming he has the skills and character to be a manager. He might be a brilliant assistant manager and made a great club captain, but stepping into the managers post is a different job all together.

  4. We can’t go into the season with a Hylton and Seedorf for sure, I would like to see another two wide players coming in or at least one who can switch. Seedorf is still young but he really needs to improve in my view.

  5. Thats ok if we have these young lads, but as far as I know we don't. We're ok in central defence with David Devine and Yusuf Hussain pushing on, likewise with central midfield with Dean Cornelius and Jamie Semple but thats it I think. It would be great to see these 4 young lads break through this coming season but they need game time, and I hope they get it. We seem to be light out wide (defensively and offensively) and up front just now.

  6. A big part of our success last season was the way the midfield would often interchange position. I think O’hara fits this approach perfectly, capable of defensive cover and contributing to attack. Having similar players with some different qualities/strengths gives us flexibility and cover for suspension, injury, loss of form, and in-game adjustments.

  7. The Malpas Method? I would be fine if we promote from within, but I'd also like us to cast the net a little wider. No need to restrict our options and it never hurts to test the market.

  8. If Robinson does go, it makes absolute sense to promote from within. Unless you're a club who can pay top dollar for a new manager, and also pay to bring in the players he wants for the system he wants to play, then it's the best option. Lasley knows exactly how we've been operating of late. He knows the systems that are working, he knows the players we have, he knows the youth players earmarked for a step-up, and he knows the transfer targets we have. It's seamless, and also cost-effective.

  9. We could replace Robinson with Pep and those same people would no doubt complain that we take too long to get the ball up front.

  10. I had the same thought myself but while it's relatively easy for us to half our capacity, it will be an issue for other clubs. Imagine Celtic or Rangers telling half their season ticket holders that they've got a seat for St Mirren at home but the guy next to them has the Old Firm game. If schools are back full time, I can see it being a case of full capacity in stadiums but you'll be asked to wear a mask...

  11. You seem to be the only person who isn't happy with him signing. Solid enough player at our level, we know what we are getting with him, still young enough. Who's pathway does he block, out of interest?

  12. I’d like to see pictures of Joe Wark and others no longer with us in the crowd.
