Shaka, I often think that much of what you say makes a lot of sense but the passion with which you say it detracts sometimes from what can be good points. Mugabi is far from perfect, a raw talent I think is what you could call it but there is a player in there if he could iron out the mistakes. I get the frustration. Been there myself shouting and bawling in the stands but at some point you have to cut the players a break. Mugabi can’t be blamed today for past mistakes. Calling him a c**t is in my opinion a step to far. I think now is a good time to let these boys prove themselves and let the new manager either drop them or turn them into better players.5 points

One of the joys of being a supporter of a certain age are the memories of the excitement one used to feel before the old third round draw. The what ifs and what might bes on a possible run in the cup, all the way to Hampden perhaps? I have to admit that, over time, and with the chances of our success seemingly being ever further squeezed by the way the game is going, that excitement has worn off a fair bit. I sencerely hope that it is just me getting old and that somewhere, out in darkest Lanarkshire, or wherever, there are young Motherwell fans waiting with hope and anticipation for what might be the beginning of something special. I still believe that it is the way it should be.3 points

I cannot understand the desperation from a small minority of or fans to criticise and disparage the club at every single opportunity. Robinson, Burrows, Mugabi, Grimshaw, the boy Whyte. That was never a penalty in a million years and yet we have posters like Shaka throwing all sorts of insults at Mugabi. It is the strangest thing! Totally bizarre.Opposition fans would not be so critical of our club and players.2 points

Never a pen , a feckin disgraceful decision, no contact by any Motherwell player, Erwin should have been booked for diving. As for "don't blame the ref" why not, he's in charge no where near play, the linesman is even further away, so even if madden gets a call from the assistant, can he be 100% sure and award it, I think not. Simple fact is Madden and the linesman made a rip roaring James hunt of it, but he's in charge so he takes the full blame, sooner we get VAR the better.1 point

Looked like Erwin made contact with Mugabi which wasn’t what I thought I saw on the stream.1 point

I agree but if it gains us six points then we'll take it. The difference is Celtic want to play on Monday so are relying on tests whereas Killie and St Mirren wanted the games off.1 point

Celtic have one positive test after Dubai but despite their entire squad being on a 8 hour plane journey together they don't seem to have anyone in isolation. Hopefully that will go against St Mirren and Killie.1 point

I have said before the games should be played but only if Killie and St Mirren don't benefit from the cancellations. Why should they benefit if they broke protocols? They should be asked play with the players they had available at the time of the original game.1 point

Was the boy who paraded a shirt then had to go home because he had played with two clubs not from Leeds?1 point

Remember the "strengthening 12-18" pish from not so very long ago? I really liked Robinson, and I certainly wouldn't lay all of the blame for all of our current woes at his door, but the more I look at the position we're in, the gladder I become that he resigned.1 point

Does this mean people can drop the always a top flight tie chat before the next draw1 point

I think the fact we are all debating who was penalised says it all really. It honestly gets more annoying each time you watch it, he sees an infringement in that but against Rangers he feels Campbell getting wiped out merited no penalty. Totally random I know but thinking back, Paisley has been one of those places where they have been given some mad decisions over the years, I think it was Stephen McManus that was hit in the coupon and a penalty was given and I know Collum gave one after Lasley fouled someone well out the box but thankfully the linesman stepped up on that occasion. Also the last day of Love Street I think it was Klimpl that was barged down as he was about to hit home but the ref clearly didn't want to spoil their day, it's weird the things you remember. I was impressed by the performance in the first half, if we can build on that going forward I would be confident of getting out of trouble, it was a shame we went more defensive i the second half as I felt all the efforts they could muster up was from distance.1 point

and back to the old days by training 6 days, with double sessions as in a mini pre season ,best way for the manager to sus the players out and get them extra fit1 point

He barely touched him. As far as I can see from the available camera angles he was attempting to stop him from turning before Erwin theatrically conned the officials by throwing himself to the ground. The boy should have been cautioned.1 point

That's not a recent problem we have been crap at seeing games out for a few years now, as you say defending too deep, our game management is shocking, hopefully GA can improve that aspect soon.1 point

I think we are at home to Rangers next weekend. Not that it will make any difference. I am sure no one will get complacent on the back of a draw v St Mirren. What is obvious is how many goals we concede in the 70-90 minute period. Almost every week. Which means if you are winning you will either draw or lose the game or if you are losing well.....This needs to be addressed ASAP. Not sure if it is fitness or concentration or what but we definitely become a poorer team the longer the games goes on.1 point

We've played well before and not won - say Dundee Utd. I think although the first half performance was much better than Accies or Aberdeen and some players upped their performance levels most of the problems are still there and haven't been cured simply by appointing a new manager. We are 10 without a win and are away at Ibrox next. Then we face Aberdeen with our stinking home record and have an absolutely crucial tie against Ross County. We are still deep, deep, deep in the mire. No one should be getting complacent and we definitely need a talent injection in this window or it's going to be a long hard slog till the end of the season.1 point

The cynic in me is thinking that Celtic might not be too upset if they are docked points over protocol breaches on their Dubai jolly. It would give them an excuse to blame their failure in not achieving the mythical ten in a row on being the innocent victims in an establishment fit up. I apologise in advance for my inherent cynicism. It is not an admirable trait.1 point

Mugabi getting pelters on here again from the usual suspects. Surprised then to see the stats on BBC report of the game that fans who watched the game gave him the highest score of any of our defensive players. Ffs give the guy a break and get off his back. coyw1 point
