  1. Off the line, His hand nearly hit the post when he saved it ffs a total bullshit decision to order a retake plus it was never a pen in the 1st place Sol never moved and the St Mirren player ran into him, Madden is a total bawbag of a referee.

  2. If it was not for Kelly we would have lost that comfortably

  3. So you think the linesman can see clear daylight between the line and Kelly's left foot from that distance and through a post ..feckin no chance a total bullshit decision, and anyone who thinks it was a pen in the 1st place is talking shite running into a defender who never moved an inch and just falling down is not a foul. That aside we should have seen the game out so for me 2 points chucked away, but joint 5th after 11 games at least 5 points better off than the same time last season is a very good start so onwards and upwards.

  4. I would rather he wasn't involved at all either grizzly but if we're going to use him I would rather it was from the bench.the forward line much like the midfield are a complete conundrum right now.

  5. Perhaps the more pertinent question is - "would it have been re-taken if they had scored"? Surey the rules exist for all penalties, not just ones that are missed.

  6. And that sums up life as a well fan , shocking first half, great start to 2nd album then throw it away. Kelly makes strikers mind up for first goal and then a softish pen, but he had great saves at end to save us. Thank god for Tony Watt, shields had good 2nd half but I am sorry .....woolery brings hee haw to the team

  7. At least there was some excitement in the 2nd half, the 1st half was like pouring Draino in your eyes. Most of the big talking points in the game I didn't get a great view off so I'll probably wait untilI see the highlights. Fantastic save right at the end though by Kelly and you'd worry about us if Watt gets injured cos outside the back 4 and goalkeeper he's pretty much the whole rest of the team.

  8. I watched it on TV, I really don't think both feet were off his line

  9. Haven’t seen it from a conclusive angle but his right foot looks on (or very close to being on) the line.

  13. I completely agree, we seem to have so little composure on the ball. When we pick the ball up in midfield it's such a rush to go FORWARD that if we just slowed it down a little and played a sideways pass or two it'd allow the front three (who have tucked in) to get forward and actually give us an option. Grimshaw has been murder, and that first half performance from Shields is a perfect example of why the First Division isn't an absolute goldmine for talent like people seem to think. O'Hara on for Grimshaw and KVV on for Shields at half time would be ideal, instead we won't see that, we'll go 1-0 down after 60 minutes and make changes around 80 minutes and scrape a draw if we're lucky. It's so frustrating.

  14. This is on a par with some of the absolute tripe we were served up last year. Disinterested, lobbing the ball and the hapless passing the ball backward. An absolute rollicking needed at half time. Absolutely no evidence of any fight or grit in this first half.

  16. hopefully they've got enough about them to try and prove a point , the downside is maybe they feel they could play any way they like and keep place. I don't think lack of effort will be grimmys problem tho.

  17. We scored quite a few headers at the start of the season and a lot of that was down to Carroll's delivery from set pieces and crosses. Since McGinley came in that has completely dried up. Putting any defensive merits aside (which may or may not exist), McGinley really gives you nothing going forward. I'd play Carroll over McGinley too.

  18. This feels like a meaningful game. Win it and we have had a great start to the season, lose and we are officially on a bad run with tough games before the international break. I honestly think that just taking Grimshaw and McGinley out the team will cause an improvement on it's own but hopefully the players who do get the starts step up. If those two are starting Burrows should start planning for a traditional Christmas manager hunt because it means GA has lost the plot.

  20. Like Ross County? Like Dundee? The fact is we don't have the players to play more football. Never mind succeed playing football. We need to be pragmatic about it until we have midfielders worthy of the term.

  22. I don’t think we are far away from being a very decent team challenging to be best of the rest. I’m thinking that the frustration is people can see ways of making us better (in their opinion, mine too) with what we already have but the manager is sticking to 4-3-3, selecting certain players, and has the team playing a long ball kind of football.

  23. This game will be like every other we play against the teams outside of the gruesome twosome and perhaps the Edinburgh two this season, which means it could really go a number of ways. We could stink the joint out in a draw or loss, or we could just as easily come out and put three past them and look amazing. We're still very much in the running for top six, which is all we can ask considering Rangers, Celtic, Hearts and probably Hibs have four places sewn up, while Dundee United, Aberdeen, St Mirren and St Johnstone will be competing with us for the last two slots. The league this season looks to be the most competitive it's been in a while, and I'm enjoying it. The fans are back, we're in the thick of the race for top six, and we've seemingly brought in some decent players this summer rather than the forgettable crap-shoots of recent seasons for the most part. What's not to like? Roll on Wednesday.

  24. Gallagher? He’s already gone? I know you like to get up on your high horse and all sanctimonious on here about other supporters giving (quite often perfectly valid) criticism of the club and certain players but you really should get your facts/players right before posting.
