  1. Loved that today. Proper entertainment

  2. Don't think the manager kows what "settled" means. But we can always hope he breaks his Tombola machine, and has to play the same team twice.

  3. I simply don’t understand Alexander, think I had a far better take on Robinson in truth. Slattery is just a prime example of why many can’t get their head around his management, pretty much undroppable at one point then went completely missing for what looked like no apparent reason. Brought back in alongside Goss today because of what looks a little like desperation. He gives so little away about his decision making people end up making things up and that’s never a good thing. I would have taken a top 6 finish and quarter finals of the cup before the season started, for me that’s more than acceptable but for some reason I feel really quite pissed off with him in truth and that’s unusual for me.

  4. Great result today and much better overall performance. I'm not calling for the managers head so please take this in the context it's meant. Today shows some of the key flaws in his managerial approach. Dropping players like Slattery for months at a time with no obvious reason hurts us. Todays midfield was a key reason we won. Also brining Tierney back into the team , a guy who looks dangerous every game he's played for us - why he's not had more game time is bizarre. Overall we have the bones of a team that could be sailing high in the top 6. Had he played our better players consistently rather than the 'tombola' I don't think we'd be worrying about top 6. Delighted with todays performance (will try and forget our defensive flaws in the first half) but please GA get your shit together, play our best players and keep some consistency in the back 4.

  5. As I mentioned earlier, I always want to Slattery and Goss to start in the midfield as I think that's a good balance of dig and passing. Then the question is who supports that. I know he's not everyone's choice, but I like Maguire in there. In his absence, Cornelius is a good option too.

  6. That was encouraging today. Goss finally got a goal after a lot of bad luck, Shields made an impact, Cornelius was excellent and took his goal brilliantly and Slattery gave us a bit more composure in the middle of the park. Van Veen's run for the fourth was genuine quality, I'm looking forward to seeing it later on. It seemed like the game plan was for him to play a bit deeper and Shiels and Efford to run in behind the defence.

  10. Crafty from Kev there, taking more time off the clock by blasting it into the stands instead of scoring.

  13. St Mirren have completed more passes today than we did in all the time Robinson managed us ! We need to make a change cause we're surrendering possession to easily now.

  15. As I’ve said on here previously, young Dean Cornelius is one of the best midfield prospects we’ve had at FP since Phil O’Donnell. A real old fashioned box to box wing-half. Took his goal so calmly. I just hope he’s on a long-term deal.

  16. Imagine if we hadn't been working on defending corners all week.

  17. Who'd have though that strikers can score goals when you give them the ball facing the oppositions goal. We should have tried that earlier in the season.

  20. Closer to what I would have like to have seen. I'd have dropped wither Efford or Shields to play Tierney in the front of a diamond shaped midfield , but hey ho

  21. Surprised he’s persevering with Shields and Efford given how poor both of them were at McDiarmid. Would rather have seen Woolery and Tierney to be honest. A win today would really lift the mood and set up a massive one at Livi next week!

  22. Great initiative if only we had the same commitment to get the football side of things sorted .
