It's always honking patter when you don't agree with someone. You have already admitted to belittling people on here a few months ago. Like I said, over the past few weeks you have constantly been posting things "In the know" in regards to our squad budget, kit release, Well Bois and on Dean but you keep it all very vague, it's easy to take an educated guess on things. Earlier in year you fought the corner for Cornelius when it was surprisingly reported that he was linked to Preston, obviously I'm paraphrasing but I'm sure your take was that it wasn't surprising and he contributes more than given credit for (before his consistent run) but thats some come down for him in club choice. I have no doubts a number of clubs in League Two will be able of offer better wages as you do have the likes of Bradford and Wrexham but are Harrogate, a club who draw roughly 2,000 fans to home games likely to blow us out the water with an offer he couldn't refuse or is it more likely he fancied his chances to make an impact in England. Good luck to the young guy, I truly hope he does well where ever he ends up.

Why do we all automatically think that leagues 1 and 2 in England are poor, I suspect most if not all of the teams in those leagues would easily beat the teams in the SPFL L1 & L2. They are all decent sized clubs, larger average crowd than some premiership clubs in Scotland, bigger budgets etc, Given Cornelius has only ever played for Hibs and Motherwell youth teams and just stepped up to the 1st team at Motherwell moving to Harrogate Town is hardly a backwards career step as so far he has done nothing in his career. So why not wish the boy well and hope he succeeds instead of whining about him moving to Harrogate.

Sorry dude but you spout some utter keech. You're calling out someone for mentioning finances and being an expert on it only for you to quickly follow it up by being in the know about Harrogate's playing budget. Are you Dean Cornelius da by any chance as you haven't taken any criticism of him well on here or on P&B over the past few weeks.

As long as the fee gives us the funds to replace his goals otherwise we have slit our own throat. We better not hear that we need to watch Shields and Obika run into each other because we're skint.

That is the best way to look at it. Players and managers will come and go but the club will always be there. No one is bigger than the club, no matter what or how much they contribute while they are with us.

Highly doubt it’s to replace him but we’ve currently taken Josh Fowler on trial from Beith they won the WOS Premier and he scored 32 goals last season, only 21 years old.

Strikers come and strikers go. Sutton, Higdon, Moult and even Watt didn't score goals before or after their time with us that they did while with us. KVV scored 12 in 59 games prior to joining us. Moult had never scored a goal for a 'league' side. Trust the manager to buy well and remember that previous 'form' isn't always an indicator of how a striker will perform.

Van veen getting a medical at Gronigen is the only transfer news at the moment apart from Obika who resigned,always an anxious time of the year i hope Kettlewell gets it right .

He's fine as a link up player.....provided we replace Van Veen with a decent striker. As for Cornelius. 'One of our Own' turns us down to go to Harrogate Town. Bizarre. He might do better down there since it's a less technical league....

I’d to Google them, had no idea they were in league 2. Thought they were northern premier or something? cracking wee place right enough, has much more scenic splendour than motherwell/wishaw. Good luck to him if he goes, I think he’d do quite well in the English lower leagues.

Obika was utter shite when he wasn't injured. He only managed a goal when the ball hit off him. If we actually sign him again it's a sign we are going down.

My only minor niggle with Nevin is, at least up until now, he has never seemed to take any blame for the mistakes that happened under his watch. Be interested to hear if his book is any different in that regard. Actually, I lied. My other niggle is the night he played a major part in defeating us 4 - 3 at FIr Park in a cup game when he was making his name as a youngster at Clyde.

that's interesting. with a 50% strike rate of goals to game over last 2 seasons the boy clearly knows where the goals are. more so than many others we have signed. appreciate there's a levelling in terms of leagues etc but this fills me some optimism.
