At least theirs has an element of conspiracy theory to it. The best our forum 'experts' could come up with was that we couldn't afford to put the undersoil heating on.

Of late, things have been a little argumentative and acrimonious at times on on here. So lets have some harmless fun. Given BobbyBingo's thought provoking post on the Dundee match day thread, I thought I'd try to predict the outcome of the 7 remaining games. It comes with a significant health warning though. Some big assumptions: the bottom 6 remains as is; our post split fixture list pans out as we would predict; and my predictions are inherently biased by being a slight pessimist. Here goes: Dundee (A) 0 pts Hibs (H) 1 pt Ross County (A) 0 pts Livingston (H) 3 pts Aberdeen (A) 0 pts St Johnstone (H) 1 pt Hibs (A) 0 pts So, thats one win and 2 draws and we finish of 38 points in 9th position, behind Hibs and Aberdeen. The one factor suppressing any optimism I might have is that we are virtually certain to concede at least one goal in every game. Post split results are notoriously difficult to predict and we could realistically finish with anywhere between 37 and 40 points. I think Ross County will finish on about 35 points and St Johnstone will also end on about 35 points. Goal difference will be crucial and the scrap for 11th spot could be very very tight.

Think about it logically mate. Unless someone has been smuggling sackfulls of cash out the back door everything is transacted through bank accounts which requires a minimum of 2 authorisations for cheques and electronic transactions, but more likely 3 and 2 of them would be board members so virtually impossible to hide money trails unless they were all in on some kind of scam which seems to be the basis of the rumours on your fan forums. Amazing how many wannabe accountants there are on them. Maybe if your club didn't spend as much of your turnover on player salaries then you wouldn't have made the losses you have and try to point the finger and sully a guys reputation. Have a look at Kieran Maguire on X who gives a good insight into your clubs accounts.

Mate was down at the game (Auchinleck fan) and said he was head and shoulders above anyone else on the park. Far too good for that level but appreciate its the only place he could go out on loan. Hopefully he pushes on to at least be a regular on our bench next season or even a starter .

Wilson seems to be doing well at Beith Juniors. He got man of the match against Auchinleck on Saturday.

One or two wins might be hard to find, given the way this season and this league has gone. I'm struggling to think which squad players and youngsters you think are capable of coming in at this point.

If he'd been manager Taggarts showroom would have taken over Fir Park and we'd have ended up playing at Shawfield.

Hope for the best, but expect....you know. Motherwell's my team, and no level is too low to change that. Same story for a lot of folk, but the poverty of the product, combined with rising prices - football related or otherwise - must be shaving numbers off the gate year by year, and it does hee haw to encourage new paying customers.
