  1. If people in our fanbase are happy with this season then fair do's but its a no from me. Do I think we will improve next season..................I hope so. Im looking forward to next season and happy that this one is over, there have been some good results and great goals flecked throughout the season but inconsistant performers, incredibly poor cup runs and a leaking defence have been our downfall. As I say, if people are happy with a 9th place finish then im kinda shocked to be honest

  2. Because I won't stop supporting the club I've followed for 30+ years just because the current manager and the majority of the squad are crap. Most of them and the manager will be gone soon enough.

  3. Well, given the generally negative remarks you make at length and so frequently, I suppose your definition of "supporting" and mine are not quite the same. I've had over sixty years of ups and downs with MFC and know how hard it is for us to survive in the stacked deck of Scottish football. And , no, I don't expect a medal but it does perhaps offer some perspective when considering our difficulties. Most of the current squad will be gone next season anyway (surely an improvement?) and if Kettlewell is so "crap", were you so voluble about his two predecessors, when we were in free fall post-Sligo and its SPL aftermath? Or did your negativity have a longer history? If I were so convinced things were going to be absolute shite in August and found so much at Fir Park unsatisfactory, I think I would find another interest/activity to spare me such angst. Good to know that you'll be around to support the club next year, though, once the manager and all the crap players have been removed.

  4. that Motherwell team was never getting into the top 6 as it proved to be. When you defend like a pub team you dont get the rewards.

  5. If you're so sure of that why would you return next season? Some form of masochism? I don't understand such an attitude.

  6. I know about the winless run. Was mentioned once or twice on here 😏

  7. If he does, he'll be signing his death warrant at the same time, so let's wait and see how smart he truly is.

  8. The goalkeeper should be the boss of the box and therein lies the problem.

  9. Their first goal comes from a cross that the RWB should've prevented, but we've got an attacking midfielder playing RWB for reasons only known to that genius Kettlewell. Then the crossed ball should've been cleared by a competent centre-half, but for some reason, Kettlewell decided to put Mugabi back into the starting lineup today. The less said about the Mugabi-Kelly clusterfuck for the second goal, the better. This shitshow so far typifies this entire season, and for as long as we have Kettlewell at the helm, we'll see the same defensive frailties next season. We may score freely at times, which is commendable, but it's clear that he doesn't know how to set up a team to defend or how to get the best out of the average players available on our budget.

  11. Not trying to shift blame to ref. He’s made 2 mistakes so he has a lot more left to make to get anywhere near the amount of mistakes we are making

  12. Fullbacks that are wingbacks and can't stop crosses. Central defenders that don't mark their man. The defensive personnel needs a complete overhaul, and proably the defensive tactics too.

  13. Nicholson at RWB is classic Kettlewell.

  14. Does SK even know that's a thing? 3-1-1-2-2-1 maybe.

  15. Has SK been overthinking again? Hopefully that is a 4 4 1 1 but I really don't understand Bevis coming in and Casey and SOD sitting out. At least no Halliday so forum will be a bit quieter. Ex players like to score against us so hopefully the Bair can do the business today COYW

  16. My first game was in 1966 when my cousin kidnapped me and took me to Fir Park for a game against St Johnstone. Was hooked from that day onwards. Seen lots of fantastic players....and some not so fantastic... in my time but it's strange how it's often players that few mention that stick in the memory. Brian Heron as an example. Some shot on him and I recall a game against Killie where I swear the goal posts were actually rocking after his shot smashed against the bar. At least it seemed that way to an awe struck teenager. I do regret that I never saw some of the older players such as Stevenson, Ferrier, McFadyen and a good few others that moved on to greater success elsewhere. Players like Hughie Ferguson whose life story is so tragic despite his footballing achievements. Everyone part of Motherwell folklore and legends, if not the GOAT.

  17. As long as he's not a cocaine bear on the day we should be more than a match for him.
