Next season Champions League playoff Champions League 2nd round Europa League playoff Europa League 2nd round Conference League 2nd round The following season this could drop to 4 places but if - and it’s a big if - the coefficient improves there’s a possibility of another conference league place but that’s very doubtful.

Porter was very good and another example of needing a bit of time to find his feet. A good fit for our team at the time, and the Scottish league. And a nice bit of business when we sold him on. He was also one of those players we like to sign who had a record of injury problems, but in this case the risk paid off. The fact that Levein had knocked him back for Dundee Utd was just a bonus. Not in the Coyne, Pettigrew, Moult, van Veen, Higdon bracket, but not far off.

Kevin Van Veen was absolutely box office. Incredible season with us, right up there with probably the best striker performance in one season in the SPL. His goal versus St Johnstone where he put two boys on their arse was exceptional.
