Just home from pub and buzzing after that performance. I will break down my assessment 1) we have moaned about style for years, we have a new manager trying new style which isn’t good for health but give him time. Brave and 2nd half we were great. 2) Stama - i am still backing him , there is a player there in my opinion 3) goal conceded, mcginn howler but we move on. 4) fullbacks, both excellent and going to be huge players. 5) centre defence - we need at least 2 in. 6) midfield- the triplets were great , slattery set pieces though were brutal. 7) it's miles better than hoofball so let's enjoy the JB revolution COYW5 points

Wow, just wow! What a great advert for Scottish football. Motherwell were outstanding today. Yeah, there were a few nervy moments at the back. Who cares? If we are going to be served a feast of football like that at Fir Park this season, I'll sufer a few cock-ups at the back. The energy in that team today was exceptional. Some of the football was superb. The number of times that we caught Rangers in the press was quite astonishing. A little bit of added quality up top and some extra depth ro the squad and this could be some season. I wanted the team to make a statement with this performance and they exceeded my hopes. Well done JBA, the staff and all the players. That was a terrific watch.5 points

I'm late to the party so I won't say much as it's probably all been covered but.... 1 lose in the last 5 league matches against Rangers. Gotta be our best run since the 1990s and long may it continue.3 points

Just a shame he feels the need to head to the dressing room as quickly as possible once the final whistle goes. Understandable given the abuse he gets from some arseholes in our support. Guy might be past his best and no longer a first choice, injuries having taken their toll. . Always gives his best...whether good or bad...and happy to settle for whatever role our Manager asks him to play. Yesterday showed he can contribute when given the chance.2 points

Agree with much of this but I thought it was also the case that later on, when we tried a few times to switch the play with long balls fired out wide to Longelo, it caused Rangers all sorts of confusion. Rangers had over committed players to press our midfield/defence when suddenly we were in behind them and they were in trouble.. JBA actually applauded one of those passes from SOD. Not so much the one that went into touch. Don't get me wrong, I'm not advocating long ball tactics or missing out midfield. But mixing it up with the odd long pass sows seeds of doubt in our opponents and makes us less predictable. Then again you have to have centre backs that are capable or confident enough to attempt such passes.2 points

For anyone interested the under 19 league of which our development boys are part of has started and we play Hibernian tomorrow at Dalziel Park with a 2pm kick off. Get along to see our stars of tomorrow , I am sure the boys would love the support.2 points

You've taken that too far, Grizzlyg is the forum comedian leave the attempts at humour to him.2 points

James McFadden Former Motherwell forward on Sky Sports A draw was a good result for Rangers based on that performance.2 points

First proper test of our new way of playing. I have to say, despite it being likely to send me to the cardiac unit, I love it. Hoofball is a thing of the past and we are seeing players that have quite rightly come under criticism play silky football. Who knew! Where do we think we will finish this season? Personally, I think we are going to be 4th or 5th. I can't see us being anywhere near the playoffs / relegation and I think when it clicks properly (and the strikers start finding the net) we are going to give someone an utter scudding1 point

An excellent second half performance yesterday and a point was the very least we deserved and indeed I’m actually a bit disappointed we didn’t win because it would have been thoroughly merited. I didn’t see the equaliser coming mind you and until it did it looked like the usual Motherwell v Rangers game at Fir Park where we do everything except score and they sneak away with the points while we’re left consoling ourselves with hard luck stories. But it was a great piece of skill from Longelo to create the chance and he finished well when it came back to him. So all in all it was an enjoyable performance which I can happily recognise because we managed to get something from the game. 👍1 point

I’ve not been in the east stand in ages but is it that bad? I can’t believe that if that’s the case, we have some utter morons as fans!! The guy always gives his best and never hides.1 point

I agree, I think the same with Halliday, good players who are pretty tuned in to how the manager wants to play and can give you a good 30mins. Any longer than that then I might not be so sure.1 point

Yes that was great when we did try those big switch of plays. As you say it keeps opponents wondering. Sods done well when he came on. He has imo got a good pass in him that breaks the lines. Decent as sub to come on if required1 point

Maybe Lennon Miller will become the new Cammy Fraser (if anyone on here is old enough to remember the OAE long running gag)1 point

Was just after boyd moaning, Faddy said words to affect of "you should be happy that you got a draw" 😁😁1 point

More observations from me. 1) 10,616 crowd = over 6,500 well fans, superb and be great if that continued. 2) Johnny K crucial tackle in injury time.....awesome 3) the patience and encouragement from the home support. Didn't get on players backs ( including SOD) 4) early days but JB could be a brilliant appointment but knowing us we lose next week and it's back to "aye this passing rubbish isn't working" 🤪 5) hopefully Miller deal can get settled this week and we can focus on getting a few players in 6) Faddy post match a legend COYW1 point

Seen the other day that Tyler Maglorie was a free agent with this high line we're trying to implement he could be a good addition1 point

Early days, but the new players we signed all seem promising. McGhee could be a good addition if he stays fit, but I'm not convinced that will happen. If our new additions are of similar quality, our squad should be in good shape.1 point

That's our 4 tickets purchased too. Haven't been so enthusiastic about a team performance for a long while.1 point

I agree about McGinn. He was unlucky he did not score with a driving run. On reflection even although we all criticise our center backs, they did well as the game progressed. Mistakes will happen, but I'm sure they can improve further.1 point

Imagine how well we could have played if we weren't a team that always bottles it on live TV, in front of a big crowd, on a big occasion.1 point

I'm going to go against Kris Boyd's bold prediction and say we will not finish in the relegation play-off spot.1 point

Despite how good we were to watch today, I dont want to get too carried away as I think we might struggle to replicate that application and energy over a full season. The city clubs have all spent money and strengthened, so it will be a tough ask to finish above any of them unless one of them has a mare. That said, 6th is still there for the taking and should be our target. If we do better than that, fairplay to the manager and the team!1 point

Only saw the highlights, but that looked like a very encouraging performance. McGinn makes a bit of a howler for their goal, but that will happen the way we are set up to play and we should still defend the corner better. A few other heart in the mouth moments, but watching this style of football is going to be great fun, regardless of the results. Night and day compared to the eyebleeding Alexander and Kettlewell era's and just goes to show we can have a go and play football agaianst decent teams. Buckle up. Im all in......1 point
