If we had these two and we remained injury free we’d win the league this year.
I honestly don't know what pictures Hanley has on his phone but someone needs to steal it before we have to endure another campaign with him in the team
As a young boy I was privileged to play with Bobby at our primary school. He was some player. My hero was St John, so I was very interested in everything Liverpool, and followed Bobby's career. I was so pleased when he signed for the 'Well and what joy he brought with his partnership with Willie Pettigrew.
Condolences to Bobby's family and friends.
A true' Well legend.
RIP Bobby 🙏
Sad to here the news of Bobby passing……Motherwell born and bred
Was very unfortunate to be at Liverpool at the time when Anfield was awash with great strikers, including St John, who signed him when he was our manager …..Bobby still managed to be included in the poll The 100 Players who shook the Kop (2013)“
He played all 54 games in the 1969/70 season. After a promising start to the 1970/71 season, he fell awkwardly on the Anfield turf when Chelsea were the visitors early in October and was carried off with a broken leg……. John Toshak was signed to replace him
Still think he could have done a job for us but sadly moved across the M74 where he continued to score
R.I.P
Very sad to hear that Bobby Graham has passed away.
A truly fantastic player and the partnership that he had with Willie Pettigrew was just legendary.
I began watching the ‘Well about 1967 and Bobby was without any doubt the best centre-forward I ever saw.
Sincere condolences to Bobby’s family at a sad time.
RIP Bobby.
How JBA wants Ward to play is not the issue here. The problem is Ward's continuing inability to meet one of the fundamental requirements of being a goal keeper, ie catching the ball, how many points does he cost us before he gets benched.
Bowman had a natural number 9 in Moult alongside him. Stama, by contrast, was signed to be that number 9 himself, so the expectations are different. Comparing him directly with Bowman doesn’t really hold up. Stama’s had over a year now, which is more than enough time to have shown more than he has.
Bobby Graham and Wullie Pettigrew were the first strikers I remember from when I started watching Motherwell. So I grew up thinking the way they played was normal, and all the strikers I would see at Fir Park would the the same.
If only I knew...
What a load of bullshit.
The guys a good player and no where near out of his depth ffs he was capped for Australia last year and then spent most of the season out injured.
Very sad news and condolences to his family and friends. An amazing player, who struck up a telepathic understanding with Willie Pettigrew. I believe that came about by chance. I seem to recall he was a quiet, under the radar, type of player with his prolific sidekick receiving more publicity. Bobby had the knack of having great foresight and positional awareness and brought out the best in others.
RIP Bobby.
