  1. The unconscious bias towards the Old Firm has been here for years. As Well fans we remember Derek Johnstone in the 70s semi, Craigan's disallowed goal for off side when a defender and the goalie were on the line. Refs are aware that if they give a wrong or dodgy decision against the Old Firm they will be slaughtered in the press and will suffer personal abuse. Remember Dallas getting his windows panned in. Now with VAR they can take time not only to decide if the decision is correct they also have time to weigh up the consequences of their decision. Less and less subjective decisions will go against the Old Firm. Factual ones like offside will be harder for them to manipulate.

  3. Maybe in minority but I haven't been impressed with RCC but granted not as bad as Hendry

  4. I could be tempted to say we will never have a better chance to beat them because they are one of the poorest Celtic teams in years. That said I've seen us fall to beat this mob in any incarnation in 11 years so I have zero confidence that we can beat them tomorrow. The last game at Celtic Park completely encapsulates our efforts against Celtic over the years. Different day same capitulation when we had them. A sore one tomorrow definately on the cards. There will be plenty plaudits and empty positives but we will still get the same points as we'd get from a horsing

  5. A win would be amazing and fact we are disappointed losing at ibrox shows the progress we have made. Personally I think 4th is the target as anything higher would just be incredible. However despite the 6 clean sheets in a row , 3 of them were 0-0 and also didnt score on Saturday. Lack of a striker is costing us now so January transfer window is massive

  6. Yet they would still complain if he was eligible to play

  7. What a January window signing that is. Brilliant news that we have him for a full season. Some of the social media comments from Celtic fans are breathtaking lol “glad he’s gone” “found his level” “good, he’s pish” these guys are clowns, the boy is a good player and better than what they have.

  8. Over the decades, I've seen both halves of the gruesome twosome benefit consistently from poor officiating. No difference whatsoever between them. There's a number of reasons for that, all of which have been covered here. VAR is not at fault; its the poor officiating behind it. That won't change

  9. Agree with this. No conspiracy but certainly incompetence is an issue with referees and VAR officials. We recall examples of when Motherwell were wronged, but speaking to fans of other Clubs they can easily trot out numerous examples involving their own team. No doubt there is a subconscious fear of calling it wrong and the subsequent media reaction. That does play a part. More so if the OF are disadvantaged. But all teams suffer, including Rangers at times. Maybe just less so. The fact they were denied a Cup Final win by poor officials is a recent example. Even Collum acknowledged that error. Or does pointing out that fact also make me a closet Rangers fan? Or a Liv fan for pointing out how harshly they have been treated all season? Or a Dundee Utd fan if I sometimes agree with Goodwin? Whilst Collum is in charge and there is no accountability nothing will change. VAR or no VAR. Sadly it is something we as fans can do nothing about.

  10. Celtic get as many dodgy decisions if not more but not as much made of it as all the refs are Masons apparently and they have been on the wrong end of decisions for years . All that said Rangers do not bad as well. There will be a dodgy decision on Tuesday, not the most earth shattering prediction , just hope it doesn't affect the score v them

  13. Aye, but how much did that idiot Kettlewell blow on Stama? More than £200K apparently.

  14. I thought everyone knew that Rangers VAR doesn't review that kind of incident.
