  1. Spot on Stewart gets banned from Hampden for speaking his mind that upset the sensitive souls at the SFA, yet 10's of thousands of uglies fans spout their bigoted sectarian bile on a regular basis and its radio silence from the SFA., a disgrace of an organisation.

  2. I think Maswanhises value will have reduced considerably since January. He's was over hyped in January but equally we don't want to over hype the other way with the drop off. If we got a bid of around £1 / £1.5 million for him Id take it. Sadly I think we will lose one of Watt and Just , possibly even both if the bids were high enough, which would be a real pity. However this gives us a chance to see the managers transfer skills to find players that would fit his style. Thats if he stays of course 😱

  3. But the bar has been set at a 4 game suspension for that kind of cheating, so that needs to be consistently applied now, no?

  4. Yes this is my thoughts too . well done Ox Neil Lennon has had some serious abuse up here in the past, but remember even our manager at the time Craig Brown saying he is a decent guy

  5. Actual was really pleased for Lennon today he looked a bit overwhelmed about it all . Probably different being a manager with the Pars and getting to the Final than a player with the manky mob.

  7. Can just see us 5th and big Ox having a blinder to deny Celtic the cup win we need to get into Europe.

  9. The average NIMBY would swear the sky is green just because they can.

  10. I admire the optimism, but I suspect you’re very much in the minority on this one. Two things can be true at once: the football may have improved, but the officiating has clearly worsened.

  11. Featuring not 1, not 2, but 5 (FIVE) Motherwell players!

  12. Given Michael Stewart has been banned for hurty words, I don’t expect them to ban Celtic and Rangers fans for actual violence and vandalism. That’s the reality of Scottish football.

  13. Good post. I don't agree with everything he says but I do so more often than not and I like listening to his honest opinions. It seems the SFA doesn't. As with society in general you will never learn anything by refusing to let others with a different opinion or perspective speak. You simply end up in an imploding echo chamber. I never have been impressed with the SFA but its very sad and unacceptable that they have taken this view. What next? Will they ban everyone who has ever criticised a referee. Whether they like it or not, refereeing standards are currently very poor and thats also down to the system not just the odd individual matchday official. They really do need to open themselves up and take on board comments, if they want to improve. Finally, they really ought to recognise the importance of the paying punter.

  15. I’d much rather listen to Michael Stewart than the likes of Chris Sutton and Kris Boyd. The latter two are critically illiterate, offering nothing of value to anyone other than Celtic and Rangers.

  16. Some interesting comments from Lee Wilkie in today's Dundee Courier. "I would scrap VAR in Scottish football tomorrow. The technology affects the game far too much in a negative way and we saw the very worst of that in Dundee’s seemingly endless game at Kilmarnock. Of course, we want to help referees get really close calls correct but the technology gets involved far too much. And it affects the way players play the game, too. Again, not in a good way. I think players dive even more now than they did before. I’m not talking about blatant dives where there is no contact. I’m talking about situations where the forward feels a hand on the back and hits the deck. They do that knowing the Video Assistant Referee is watching and they might get a penalty out of very little. For me, that’s not what football should be about. It is a technical game but there should still be the physical aspect of battling for the ball with someone else. When VAR reviews a decision, they only look for contact but crucially not whether that contact is enough to constitute a foul. You will see strikers running into the box thinking more about initiating contact with a defender than actually scoring the chance. VAR in Scotland has not had many successes to shout about and Saturday at Rugby Park certainly wasn’t one of them. An eight-minute delay doesn’t help anyone. Spectators don’t want to be hanging about that long and, even though Dundee eventually got the penalty, it didn’t help them either. It doesn’t look good for our game. The SPFL and SFA are probably breathing a sigh of relief that didn’t happen in one of the title-deciding fixtures coming up."

  17. Of course and that’s why I have regularly bemoaned our inability to make chances count and get points on the board. It’s been a running theme of the season and I don’t see it changing at this late stage unfortunately. Don’t worry mate, you’ll be safe from that nonsense as long as I’m around. 🤣

  18. I cant believe we are having this debate, what type of football would you really like to see at Fir park, the eye bleeding hoof and chase under kettlewell, or the free flowing, tippy tappy passing, playing out from the back, rock solid defence (mostly) etc under JBA, i know who my vote would be for.
